I'm trying to gauge whether $12k is the bottom of this downtrend or not, but apparently it is still fighting and hovering somewhere between $13k and $12k at this very moment. For me, I'd say wait a couple more hours or a day or two before starting to buy. Who knows how far this dip can go? It is already a good buy but again just to be safe, try to weigh whether the market will still slip down or not.

I'm on the same posture than you, it SHOULD reach 12k before moving up, i'm still thinking on buying today

If you look at your initial thought, which you say hasn't been much helpful to you, how do you expect your other prediction to hold any value? There is nothing indicating a more severe correction than we have already experienced.

If you seriously think that the price will go down badly in the beginning of the next year, then you can use the future market to open a short position. If you are spot on, you'll be making a good amount of money.

It's basically something that goes up for anyone expecting the market to tank. With these short positions people can put their money where their mouth is, but thus far people speaking out like that haven't done so, which says enough.

Yeah!!I do think so that it is the high time to buy bitcoin.As the price of bitcoin is decreasing,it is the best time to buy bitcoin.We are hoping that next year (the coming year of 2018)the price of bitcoin will again rise and then you'll be able to get profits.

This also a time to buy Bitcoin because it's rate was varring daily $19 k to $15 k arround $4000 so when price come very low compare last three days back so this also to buy and after Christmas or start at new year 2018 the price was increased that time, you may sell and then only when price goes high  you will get profit and all ,then in future you will get profit as soon .

Yes it's true variation of bitcoin is $4000 and I guess it will raising up again this time. I also invest when bitcoin fall down into $12,000 because I know many people takes that opportunity to earn much income in the future.

I waited for a price of 10,000 dollars for bitcoin and did not buy for 11,000. But I think that you can buy, bitcoin will now grow to 20,000 dollars. Correction is over.

- The earlier corrections also were about 30 to 50% without any big news. Perhaps you remember the 5k was reached and it dropped back to 3k? And last month almost 8k was reached and it pulled back to around 5k?
- I'm pretty sure that the 10k barrier wouldn't be broken.

So if you can get your hands on some btc between 10-11k, I suggest you do it.

what you should have done was to break down your buy orders into multiple smaller parts and placed them on different price levels.
for example buy 30% @$12,000 and buy 30% at $11,000 and 30% @10,000 and 10% at $9000. or even more depending on your investment size or whether you like doing this break down or not. sometimes it helps  catching the good buy opportunities and never miss a buy chance when price has reached the bottom but you don't know if it goes a tiny bit lower or not.

Prices have been a joy to watch as of recently, certainly being someone who has been in crypto for the last couple of months. I didn't feel anxious at all. Although the individual price action of bitcoin and several other altcoins was interesting to watch, the coinmarketcapitalization was a lot more interesting to watch. The money moving in and out of crypto has been quite a Rollercoaster to say the least. I'm debating whether I should make a daily analysis of the market movements.

I agree and this is a wise move for buying besides there's nothing to lose if set in that amount. So if ever you set a buy order be sure it's just near the bottom so it will hit somehow and don't miss out anything.

You were right and to be honest it was not that difficult to guess, people always get nervous when there is a correction but people need to get used to the movements of bitcoin we cannot keep making the same mistakes again and again, buy bitcoin at the dips, we know bitcoin is going to go up after a correction.
