So keeping exchanges aside who are the 'individuals' who hold the most bitcoins? Any ideas?

So bitfinex has the most bitcoins and that's a lot for an exchange and even with the past hacking incident that happened to them they still got a lot of it. I wonder how many Satoshi Nakamoto is holding? And the number 2 I guess it's the Winklevoss twins holdings.
First the Winkies had serious money bankroll their accumulation to do one thing get SEC approval, so when that didn't happen the money behind Winkies GOT PAID BACK so most of their wallet was sold off. Granted they had 65 Mil settlement post lawyers and whatever, they got no where near 65mil but they did get a nice payday. No way do the Winkies have what they controlled when they were relevant with a wallet set to impress the SEC. Today the players are the exchanges making the market. Exactly what are the Winkies doing today? Not much. Their exchange Gemini is where on the list of major exchanges. The Unicorns are the exchanges with volume and income and the new alt coin startups. Now unless I'm wrong and Gemini has traction, the Winkies are irrelevant today, but they do have a nice press following. From what I see they're a minor league exchange with a 100 mil volume and only 18th on the list of exchanges, not bad, but not one of the major exchanges, the top exchange does 2.8 BILLION a day or 28 times their volume. But GDAX is only top 9 with 500 Million in volume, so not bad, but not a major player in the markets today. https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/gemini/I'm not updated with those things about Winklevoss' twins and I'm not concerned with it. I admire them to have those hundreds of thousands of bitcoins for being one of the early adopters and investors of bitcoin. They deserve it and I still include them as one of the biggest players in the market today. Every single word they say make a change and gives affect to the economy.

That is pretty incredible, i have always knew that there were some list or somewhere in where we could check the addresess, but i didn't knew that it was so easy to get it. I am probably on the page 100000, if it does exist, lol.
I am just joking, i dont have a lot of bitcoins and i do not have dust too, it is like a half and a half. It is strange to see that satoshi is not on the top 1, i know that he has his wealthy distributed, but that is strange.
I have just added you to my ignore list because of your insane spam. im the owner of 99 Bitcoin WALLET ADDRESSE

Some very interesting stats here including several billionaires, plenty of multi-millionaires and some surprises such as several wallets which had a single transaction of thousands of bitcoins in 2011 but those wallets were never really used again some in 2016/17 and some dating back to 2011. The largest amount is held in a Bitfinex Cold Storage Wallet containing 145,046 BTC ($1,991,736,809 USD) #2 on the list: Wallet Address 16rCmCmbuWDhPjWTrpQGaU3EPdZF7MTdUk containing 119,203 BTC ($1,636,867,677 USD) Click Here: https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.htmlThanks, there is a lot of coins holding less than 1 BTC, there should be a reason to keep the coins somewhere because of that.

Now this is pretty neat. I found myself However, it is a bit creepy. So everyone might have the chance to see how much you have in bitcoins and equivalent USD. And seeing the population hodling huge percentage of the total stock of bitcoin. I feel I am grateful for those who lost a huge amount forever yet gulity and sad of course. I feel a bit glad knowing that huge amount could not be controlled by anyone because it could drastically manipulate the market that easy. Now we know that bitcoin can not actually go Zero value. Though thank you for letting us know that there is such thing that could let us see accuracy of the distribution.

maybe the owner passed away and no-1 knows about those coins. that's why they weren't touched since 2011, they never will be! that's why people should be putting crypto in there wills nowadays because it anything happens to you do you think loved ones would know how to claim your crypto fortunes? Agree with you about wills and last testaments. I am sure people nowadays are doing so however, if a wallet is secured with a password then it does not fill me with confidence if I have to write it down in a will in the presence of my lawyer. So many bitcoin billionaires yet once upon a time in the early days a miner was selling 10,000 bitcoins for $50 but it remained unsold because nobody including fellow miners bought them. I also believe that this is the best way to protect it. You don't have to be the one who only knows your passkeys. Find someone you can really trust, your wife, siblings, mom or dad about the passkey. Always remember that bitcoin is decentralized you are your own bank. So whatever happens only you can access it if you don't do this.
