Hi, when looking at some erc20 token ico, it says that they will distribute a portion of the profits to token holders. If holding these tokens in a myetherwallet, how would you receive the profit distributions? Thanks

Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean. Do you mean that the team will buy back their tokens regularly? It is still said that the team will send money to us on a regular basis and how the wallet can be obtained.

What do you mean?
I do not understand it.

You are refferring to what is commonly called an "airdrop." You basically got it right already. Just keep your tokens in your wallet. What they will do is analyze the entire blockchain and count the number of users with tokens. Then based on the result of their counting, they will then send tokens to each address that have their token.

You don't have to do anything. Just wait for the tokens to be added ("airdropped") to your wallet.

I think you are talking about the dividends. Most of the projects on ethereum pay their dividends in the form of ether to their token holders. For example CARTAXI pays 25% of their profit in the form of dividends and another 25% in the form of buy backs. Those 25% of the profits will be shared proportionally to their token holders. Hope this clears your doubt.

In order to receive dividends, you will need to have the ERC20 tokens at the time of snapshot. After the snapshot, you will be able to claim the dividend in myetherwallet. For specific instruction, check with the developer. Usually there will be instruction in blog, medium or Ann thread on how to claim.

So you may or may not have to do anything? What happens if I forget about it, or am unaware of the claiming instructions? Do you have to do it within a timeframe or are they always available? Thanks
