I'm using a ledger wallet, would it be beneficial to transfer only some dust from the addresses in order to satisfy the outgoing activity requirement? or should I transfer the whole amount to a new address?

The addresses I currently have my coins on already have hardfork coins on them, I'd prefer to have all hardfork coins on these addresses so that I can claim all the coins in one hit. Say in a years time.

Bump. This would be convenient.

would make it a lot easier, what do you reckon? do you think that would be safe and work? I'm thinking it would but really have no idea.

Everything I read about the phase 2 requirement led me to believe a small outgoing transaction by Jan 3 should suffice. That's about all the hustling I'm prepared to do

screw it, that's what I'll do then. I just don't want to miss it just in case it ends up being worth a couple hundred like some of the others.

I'm sick as a dog, I was looking forward to my UnitedBitcoin airdrop because it has been trading at up to $640.91 in the first week of trading and it is at least as good a concept as Bitcoin Cash. Of all the forks listed below there's not many to be taken seriously.

I thought I knew all about hard forks and the need to hold my addresses and private keys to claim. But unfortunately I just checked the UB explorer at https://www.ub.com/explorer and it seems that I didn't qualify at the time of the snapshot at BTC block height #498777.

The reason is because I'm using the extremely popular Exodus wallet, which, for privacy reasons, sends out your BTC balance from one address and then sends the remaining change back to a new address, and the terms and conditions of the airdrop at https://www.ub.com/news/detail?column=1&id=192 say 'The receiving address must have a prior balance of more than 0.01BTC and must be used as one of the sending (input) addresses.'

I've seriously missed out on $$$$s.

To the many other Exodus wallet users who are gonna find they've also missed out, I feel your pain!

OK, see the recent update, see here: https://www.ub.com/news/detail?column=1&id=209

They say 'Both the Bitcoin and UB community have provided extremely helpful feedback. The UB team is committed to the community, so comments are welcomed and encouraged. One area the community made clear needed to be addressed was the claiming process. Due to this feedback, The UB team has changed the process. Bitcoin holders are not required to send Bitcoin from address A to address A or provide a TXID to prove ownership. This will simplify the user experience. Users who have already completed the previous process and have provided TXIDs will be contacted by email with further details.'

An admin on Telegram implies that they will 'check balances at 498777 and see which addresses conducted an outgoing transaction during the pre defined block heights'

I guess they had lots of complaints about the A to A address requirement.

Just checked on UB explorer and it would appear that my forked coins have mysteriously moved to a Segwit address that isn't mine?
No such transaction exists on BTC explorer.
Is phase two going to be a manual distribution? So the UB explorer isn't showing the correct amount?
Is there a forum/chat room discussing this somewhere?

anyone have any idea whether we know if we qualified? i certainly have addresses that had balance at the right time and did an outgoing tx to qualify for the second round but when i enter them in the block explorer they're all showing as 0 ubtc balance.

they are of course now 0 btc balance too as they're HD wallets so the addresses emptied when i sent something. so I dunno if you have to retain a btc balance in which case I'm getting nothing and the same goes for anyone else with HD wallets.

there's also text on the block explorer that says utilized or unutilized on different addresses. i dunno which is which.

It's confusing. UB really didn't want us to have these coins. January 24 all will be revealed, I guess.

So how do you claim it? Do you import your private keys into their wallet or what? My addresses were showing zero balance when I checked them.

Edit:
Unconfirmed Balance    0 UBTC
Final Balance    0 UBTC

The UBTC is showing Unutilised but the balance is full and correct, how do you make sense of this?

i can't make any sense of it. i don't know what's qualified and what hasn't. the addresses i entered should've but there's no indication that anything worked. and i don't think i have an address that had balance that's done nothing to compare it with.

we'll have to wait until they announce how it'll happen. it's probably gonna annoy a large amount of people whatever they do.

this is one they definitely will be stealing as it hasn't moved for a long time - https://www.ub.com/explorer/address?address=1F34duy2eeMz5mSrvFepVzy7Y1rBsnAyWC

i can't see the difference apart from some ubtc dust left behind.

you can't claim it yet. that's to come. you had to have more than 0.01 at block 498,777. december 12th ish. and you had to have an outgoing tx between november 12th and january 3rd from the address to qualify.

i'll believe it when i see it.

They don't even have to send me those coins back. I'd totally settle for actual Bitcoins. What do they expect these things are worth? Is there a futures market?

ah. some clarification. i've changed my mind about this. as it's such an offensive shitfork i want to claim it for pure dumping.

Where is it possible to dump this shitcoin? Is it already on some exchange? Does it already have a value? Just considering if it is worth following your path...

What were the steps to actually claiming it though? I couldn't find a guide anywhere.

you can't claim it yet. that's to come. you had to have more than 0.01 at block 498,777. december 12th ish. and you had to have an outgoing tx between november 12th and january 3rd from the address to qualify.

i'll believe it when i see it.

They don't even have to send me those coins back. I'd totally settle for actual Bitcoins. What do they expect these things are worth? Is there a futures market?

this is a real sexy selection of markets. blue chip stuff right there.
