We have recently seen a increase of threads that are trying to influence people to abandon Bitcoin for the REAL Bitcoin. Have we considered for ourselves, what the REAL Bitcoin is for us and not what the REAL Bitcoin is according to other people?

This makes me think that it would have been better for Satoshi Nakamoto to patent the brand "Bitcoin".
This might be against his consept,but there are hundreds of forked altcoins called "bitcoin" and their number will increase.This creates confusion around the newbies and they might just abandon btc and use ethereum.
I still believe in bitcoin core,but it`s harder than before to use btc as a digital currency and buy goods and services.

Apart from technology, I always liked the ideology behind Bitcoin, a system that was specifically designed to provide an alternative to the existing flawed monetary system, to take the banking sector head on, to help repressed economies. Commercialization wasn't the motive, neither the price was a criteria, but look now how frequently Bitcoin forks are popping up, how the market is getting driven more by greed and FOMO, how predictions are made about Bitcoin hitting $1M, how plans are made to buy Lambos with the profit. So basically the whole thing has come down to price rather than value. Investing into Bitcoin for own financial self-interest is good, but when the majority follows this pattern, Bitcoin would lose the purpose for why it was created in the first place. Roger Ver said in 2013:

And this same guy is manipulating and pumping the hell out of his altcoin. Imagine, if the early adopters of Bitcoin and the ones who are into Bitcoin now started manipulating it for their own personal gain, quite possible, might be happening. It would limit Bitcoins usage. A large scale adoption will make the market less susceptible to manipulation and profit-seeking behavior. All this infighting and drama is affecting adoption. IMO the real Bitcoin (not about Core vs Ver or Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash) is the one that wouldn't only make a few financially independent, but having a disruptive economical impact which would not only empower a good number of the world population, but would also establish their trust and faith in a decentralized system.

I respect other people's view and opinion about a certain subject, but when it comes to the point that they're involving black propaganda and shoving their ideals on my throat, that is where it gets nasty for me. Though Roger Ver seems to be a likeable guy, the way he pushes his BCH together with his followers are really annoying and over the top already. I am using bitcoin and only using BCH for profit gains, nothing more.

I wish he did that,and I wrote that few times before.Most of old users know difference between forked and original BTC,but so many new users are completely confused about what BTC they should use.In that situation many decides to buy BTC which has a lower price and lot of money go in BCH&BTG pockets.Just imagine if new forked coins can not use "bitcoin" in their name,probably would not have 30% of value they have today.

Regarding real BTC,we know that is only one,what do somebody else think is his right or maybe problem if we look on long term.First BTC has been proven throughout the years,it is still alive and have great value.At this time there are big problems with slow confirmations and high fees,fortunately the solution to this problem is possible very close.

That's why we really have to debunked a lot of paid schills around spreading false news about bitcoin. Not only here, but if you go around social media, Damn, I'm surprise how much schills have putting a lot lies and trying to swayed lots of newcomers in saying that they are the "Real Bitcoin",  big blocks and other arguments that I started to laugh at it instead of arguing with them. There's really a lot of manipulation from the background, pouring lots of media to really circumvent the truth what bitcoin is. I agree with @dothebeats, that we have to respect the opinions of other but its really hard to stomach everything they say because its ain't the truth. I believed in bitcoin because it was really designed to take away middle man, third party, We are in total control of our bitcoins and no one else.

The major Bitcoin according to me will always be the one that started off the whole revolution no matter what. Even if some coin with "first name" Bitcoin ahead of it, gets through and make it above Bitcoins, I will still love the current REAL Bitcoins because it's original, one of its own kind and something that came up with a self-evolving technology that doesn't really need a person to handle it.

We all know what real bitcoin is and what's the difference between bitcoin and it's forged coins. Now these so called 'real bitcoin' with various names starting with bitcoin cash to bitcoin uranium to bitcoin diamond. I obviously do not believe in any other coins with bitcoin as a predecessor except for bitcoin itself. Bitcoin cash by far has been the only one which I'd say is at least close to decent. The reality is that the question is not which Bitcoin is the real Bitcoin, but which coin is the most valuable, useful coin. And the truth is that there is more than one!

Huge amounts of forks will only dilute the forks and make the actual Bitcoin (BTC) shine as the #1 original coin.

The real Bitcoin is the original network that has not forked, and that is, the current 1MB, Nakamoto consensus network that we've had since day 1.

The only possibility for a fork to be the real Bitcoin is if there was 100% consensus about it, then the old chain would be irrelevant and Bitcoin as we know it would continue on the new chain.

No matter how many times Ver or anyone else claim their fork is the real Bitcoin.. it isn't, because there was no 100% consensus about it, so it's an altcoin.

If you're passionate about one or more aspects of the technology, then I would understand why you believe in the blockchain system but not really why you believe in bitcoin. Altcoins can be created off the same system as bitcoin.

I don't think I have any other reason other than that it's the most known coin as well as that it has the highest market cap. There's a good amount of supply and demand for the coin which makes it a keeper for me. If I see the support severely dwindling down, then I will consider a different coin.

How it does really matter? If Bitcoin really split down the middle, you shouldn't be bothered about the name of each fork. You should pick the fork with features you think will succeed.
If you believe that increased decentralization is the most important feature, then ignore Bitcoin Cash. If you think that lower fees are the most important feature, then go with Bitcoin Cash. The name really shouldn't matter.

Personally I disagree with this relativistic view of things where each person gets to decide what something means, if we do that then everything losses its meaning not only bitcoin, that is why to me the only bitcoin is the one created by satoshi and maintained by the devs.

1. BTC is the only original bitcoin, only scammers will argue about it. It is the first and original bitcoin bitcoin. It is like taking a car, upgrading it and claiming that it is the original car and the others are fake.

3. Yes. If BCH will ever get  the current volume of BTC it will need to increase its block size again and again. The current lower tx fee doesn't make it more legit. Lighting network will solve the problem for the original BTC.
