You can still sell, use a trade site, or another, more permanent method.

The thing to do is have an other paypal account and get payments made into that as gifts/donations. Once the money gets there transfere it into your normal paypal.

Being a gift/donation makes it harder to reverse it. Having it already spent aka in your other account makes it even harder.

sorry but it doesn't as discussed in other threads. there nothing stopping someone claiming unauthorized access/use. and paypal reversing the funds. and dont think moving it to another account will save it, they'll follow it and get where ever it goes. unless you go through the process of withdraw and that takes time to setup, and then they will just close your account and you will have to set it all up again if they even let you. as they will no doubt block the same details and bank account being connected up to a pp account again after closure.

This guy has been doing scams for quite a while and ebay - scampal are not doing anything to prevent this.
2 days ago I tried to warn some ebay sellers of this scammer.

Lesson to learn out of this situation, Do not use Paypal it is an scam.

Check out this other thread about this same scammer.

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=25586.20

You should be able to get your money recovered since this crook has been reported by me to ebay and paypal on severa times.

Was your account frozen ?

I would argue you tried to Scam eBay and PayPal on something you know does not fly with them.   Those services are a crutch to Bitcoin, switch to using something else.  The people who want the 'easily bought' Bitcoin will find the Bitcion eventually, everyone needs to just have a common site that a lot of people use so it becomes known.

I've been scammed out of ~$300. I managed to successfully withdraw the amount before the unauthorized access/use request was made and therefore I have a "negative" balance... do you think they will find a way to get this from my bank account? Is there anything I can do apart from closing my bank account to stop thieving paypal from my money? Thanks for your help.

I would never trust ebay or paypal. I bought something and only received half of my order. I filed a dispute with paypal and lost.

2) it isn't a currency or recognized as one.
I'm done using ebay myself. I attempted to create an auction for a local pickup and they will only allow
people to pay through paypal. I don't need to use paypal for local sales. WTF!

The New World Order thanks you for your support of Bitcoin and encourages your continuing support so that they may track your expenditures easier.

Re: Ebay, I totally abandoned ebay when it started getting crazy with the calculated shipping/etc.
I can only imagine how awful it is now....  I've had pretty good luck with craigslist.  Smiley

Buyer will send you chargeback after 30 days. And due to ebay's great feedback policy, other sellers won't even know about it!

Paypal is annoying for virtual goods. I've learned to avoid em completely.
