Hi

Is there a post that someone could direct me to which explains how the escrow service works for auctions on this forum?

As you can imagine, doing a search for "escrow" or "escrow John K" is rather futile  Grin

It's certainly a service I would want to use, especially when buying relatively valuable, and sometimes virtual, commodities.  I would like to know the procedure that is generally followed or accepted, as well as the fee that is charged by those who provide the escrow service.

If such a post exists already, or if someone types one up in response to this, may I recommend that it is stickied on either the Newbies, or Auctions forums?

EDIT:

It seems that just minutes after posting this question, I have found at least some of what I was looking for here:

A step-by-step guide of the process would still be nice.  I know I'm always a little concerned when doing things like this for the first time.

A list of the top/most trusted escrowers would also be useful, and I stand by my suggestion of stickying such a post on the forums where escrow is likely to be used.
