It has been a bit quiet on BitcoinTalk but I am sure it is just because of the festive season and a lot of people away for the holidays. Despite this i feel that we had a good launch. We are getting ready to get Platinum Core listed with a couple of exchanges.

Exchanges will be listed soon. If you have suggestions for exchanges you for would like Platinum Core to be listed on you are welcome to mention them.

Just one request. Once Platinum Core is listed on an exchange do not dump your coins for ridiculous low prices. I am quiet confident that the Platinum Core can reach a good stable price on the exchanges as the reward starts low and increases as more and more blocks get mined. So there is not millions of coins currently in circulation to be dumped. It is up to all of us who have faith in Platinum Core to see that it reach good market prices. If we all just dump our coins for next to nothing then Platinum Core will eventually just be another dead coin. But if we show the world out there that Platinum Core stands above the crowd we need to settle for some good reasonable prices on the exchanges.

Hope you all had a great festive season and a prosperous 2018.

pm sent dev,
and i agree it has been quiet around this forum, for the dump of the coins... unfortunately there are so many that are out for only a quick buck or two, but they last only the first few days on an exchange... then comes the real trading!
you cant sell if no buyers
and you cant buy if no sellers
and crypto is brutal in every aspect!
best of luck and received... ty!

Yes your settings sounds correct. Your coins will be paid by the pool where you are mining at. Just make sure on the pool that your worker shows hashrate. Different pools have different payouts example every 10 minutes, once an hour etc. On which pool are you mining  and how much hash did you rent ?

That is a huge crapload of HASH for this coin right now... sounds like an S9 contract... current difficulty is around 500,000 so you should slurp up blocks like a vacuum cleaner! Good luck!

There is written maximum supply will be 300 million which means 1% of that is 30,000,000 and also I can see some allocation for different categories as reward in development area. Where the rest of the coins will be used ? Will there be a ICO type thing or they will be sold indirectly on exchanges.

Renting 13.5 TH of hash to mine Platinum Core right now is really kind of overkill..
I am doing fine with an Antminer 3 ( roughly 0.4 TH ) right now... solo mining... sort of... I am at Timeteh and quite often 'alone'.. or with one other person..

I hope you got your 6 hours in good... each block is 5 PLTCR right now and will be for quite some time... roughly two more months before the reward goes up... at that point if you have a nice number of coins the DPOS will kick in and you will start earning coins just for having coins... and the mining reward will go up as well...

So it will be a bit 'boring' as it were for about two months before the 'frenzy' begins ... plenty of time for exchange listings, market value to be discovered etc... but NOW is the time to accumulate. If this coin does well you will want a nice stash early...

There is another way to participate as well... quite often, once a coin goes to market a good number of people will 'dump' them at a very low price... if you don't want to mine with a physical miner or mining contract you should buy up these early dumpers... accumulate those coins in anticipation of DPOS.... that is a perfectly reasonable way to get involved as well...

Good luck everyone!

That HAS to be a typo... Block one the premine was 1000000 PLTCR

http://platinumcore.lchain.cc/block/00000003d9369632358122bce47126d1bbb9f7c633fc1e77d59cf3a4acdf7c3e

Which out of 300,000,000 is NOT 1 percent....

There is written maximum supply will be 300 million which means 1% of that is 30,000,000 and also I can see some allocation for different categories as reward in development area. Where the rest of the coins will be used ? Will there be a ICO type thing or they will be sold indirectly on exchanges.

The 1% premine is only 1% of the total POW coins. So POW Money Supply -  100 249 995 PLTCR and premine only 1 000 000 which is only 1% of total POW coins.

We have not decided on any ICO yet. Premine coins will be used for Bounties, Airdrops, maybe donations etc.
