Hello there folks, recently i bought an ASUS B250F and i wanted to build 7 GPU mining rig with 1060s, however im only able to connect 6 gpus, i was planning to put 7th into the M2 slot (PCI-e 4x v. 2.0 -> NGFF M.2) but when i put GPU into it, it doesnt work, gpu just isnt there, neither cant set it in bios, can only set it to X2 or X4, i dont see the option in bios for M2 if it has to be SATA or PCie. Any help or suggestions?
I only set in bios pcie speed to Gen1 (all of em) and enabled 4G.

Have you tested the M2 riser individually? (I.e. remove one of your normal PCIe x1 risers, and try connecting a card using the M2 riser, with a total of 6 cards connected.)

Have you also tested all cards individually?

Do you have something plugged into a SATA port that causes the m.2 slot to shut down?  A lot of mobos have that caveat - shared I/O lanes between the SATA ports and m.2

Yes i have tested M2 riser individualy, they are working, also GPUs, for example, when i have 2 gpus instaled and connected to pcie slots everything is working and is fine, if i swap one to M2 pcie only 1 is showing up.
I have only classic 2.5 SSD connected. The thing is i cant realy change the option for the M2 slots to be Pcie

I have the same motherboard and I had a lot of trouble with it to make it work with 7 Gpu.
One trick you can try is to change the m.2 port , only one of them supports PCI-e.
Son try the other one and it should do the trick.
I assume you already changed the bios settings , 4g decoding , pci-e speed.

can you send me photo of your bios settings? I set pcie to Gen1 and 4g decoding, also on onboard devices i set it to X2, i tried both ports and still not working.

It should be M.2 setting in the BIOS (choose between PCIe or SATA). Try to update the MoBo BIOS to the latest version. Also check MoBo manual to find the setting

I have the newest bios, there isnt option for PCIe or SATA, i know how it looks like, i´ve done it on Z270 Prime, on B250F just isnt there. I just ordered splitter which should do the trick https://www.amazon.com/Optimal-Shop-External-Multiplier-Card-Ethereum/dp/B07376F3CK/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1514334794&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=pcie+pci-e+pci+express+1x+1+t3&psc=1

Hello, seems stupid, but couldn't it be a PSU issue ? What is your psu ? Is it able to give enough power for 7 gpu ?
