For the poor, and needy. First, if you intend to donate to poor people with bitcoin, be sure to give it through a donation committee that understands cryptocurrency especially bitcoin. Or more simple, exchange your bitcoin with currency then donate. Secondly, for someone in need, well .. who does not need the money? I think only the first option deserves to be donated. And that includes the people who need that you mention.

Yes, I will donate my Bitcoin and convert it into real money for the poor and needy, but before that I will discuss them where I get my money. It's important to give.

I think the biggest challenge I have seen when it comes to making donations to actual registered to so-called official charities is that a lot of the money doesn't actually end up in the hands of the people who the charity is supposed to be helping.

I like your idea of actually uplifting a community by assisting to educate a few people within the community. That model makes sense because instead of handing a 1000 person community 1000 fish... it would make more sense to empower at least 10 people and teach them how to fish...they can they fish for the entire community whilst also teaching other people within the community how to fish as well...

Giving donations must always come from the heart of the givers. They must be willing to give those extra money they have to those who are in need. For me, if i can donate, then why not. It is not bad to donate to those in need.

I will donate bitcoin for the poor if im not poor too  Grin
I think the other will donate the bitcoin too or even the altcoin for the poor and needy.
Bitcoin doesnt reduce the charity value in our society, instead bitcoin will give convenience for us, to do charity easier with bitcoin or altcoin.

I feel awkward to talk about my donation activity because I believe it should remain secret if we are really concerned about the cause. However, on the other hand, the stories of the donations from rich personalities should gain more limelight because it posses something calling influential capacity of affecting others and encouraging others to donate. I would definitely like to make the donation using Bitcoin itself if there is any reliable genuine platform as an intermediary.

At this very moment, none of us might have that intention, at least not until we feel financially secure enough to not regret giving away something that has the potential of making our lives easier. I am not saying that everyone is selfish, but that self-preservation comes first. Once everything settles and the prices go down enough to stop people from holding their coins, I am sure that charities would be grateful and education will be funded.

Actually it will be a great help to the poor and needy if we donate some of our bitcoins. But considering if they have knowledge about bitcoin and if they know how to use it would be the reason why we shouldn't donate an actual bitcoin, rather let's consider donating them the things they need like food, water, clothing, etc.

The presence of bitcoin should be beneficial to all human beings, and I've donate several times to a social agency that receives bitcoin, I'm happy to be able to help others who need it more.

The point is to keep a bitcoin separately for donation to the poor. Donating a bitcoin directly will make sense if the receiver is aware of the functioning of bitcoin and Cryptocurrency. A poor and / or needy man can be sometimes an educated man or a knowledgeable man who is struggling to meet his ends. Bitcoin can otherwise be encashed and given to the poor.

It is always better to think big. I would rather create a trust or try to invest in healthcare or education of a poor child. All quick helps will not last long. Educating one child by spending a $25000 or more will reap great benefits to the society in comparison with feeding a whole lot of people once with the same money. Though it is not bad to feed but it is better to invest in a system that more than once continually feeds.

Yes I will donate Bitcoin to the poor and needy the way I feel is best useful for them. One percentage of the income can always be set aside for donation. After all, life is short and it is best to help as much as we can.

It is important to give to others who cannot provide for themselves in the current time and you are right in your knowledge that helping at a earlier stage or on a more fundamental level is far more effective. Where we differ however is maybe in the idea of who should provide such things. I see it more as a governmental and societal role that we push for better education and such for a child.
Why not? there is not point of having bitcoin/money if you cannot help the yourself, your family, and poor, or needy. People always work hard to earn bitcoin/money to solve their financial problems. Once they solve their issues they can still use the remaining balance to help someone else in need of assistance too.

I would definitely donate it, but it's more a question why people that have everything wouldn't??!
I barely have money for myself, I am a simple person, I go to work every day, I earn for what I need 100%. I always try to do some small charity work, or even donating anytime I can.

I think it is inappropriate to give Bitcoin to the poor and needy since it is an online currency. And in order to makes use of this currency, one must have access to technology. It is better to convert your Bitcoin first to a physical currency and donate it to them.

I don't know but I really find this topic a bit hilarious. The mere fact that they are poor/needy is because they lack knowledge about certain things, especially the discipline and patience that us crypto users/traders have. But it will really depend, because I'd rather give them cash than BTC because I want to spare them of the transaction antics when dealing with BTC to fiat exchange.

Even if I did, what's the use? The needy people are the ones who are illiterate and don't have enough basic necessities. I'd rather donate them some food, clothes and some more basic amenities to the needy rather than handing out bitcoin outright, which they won't understand and throw it away and that amount of bitcoin too will join with the bitcoin that has been lost because of carelessness. So my answer is no.

Maybe they weren't thinking exactly donating them bitcoin (literally)....maybe in form of buying goods in BTC, or direct donation to charities which will in turn do the same with the money they have

of course not. All I will do is convert bitcoins into physical currency, then depending on how I am financially. If possible, then I will donate to an orphanage, and some poor people I meet. It's weird if we give bitcoins to people who need them, because they probably do not understand and understand about bitcoin and their own use.
