⚡️ Bitcoin Flash

Bitcoin Flash - a Bitcoin Core fork that supports instant transaction confirmations - something Bitcoin community always desired, for Bitcoin to finally become an acceptable payment option in retail stores and online shops all over the world.

Based on Dash InstantX technology. More information on bitcoinflash.io.

Two-way replay protection enabled. Also, like with Dash, not only can you earn BTF by mining, but also for having a masternode running on your computer.

Bounty announcement: C++ developers that have extensive knowledge of inner workings of Bitcoin/Dash code (especially Dash fans), please send a message to info@bitcoinflash.io shortly describing what you know and how you can help, and we'll send you an email about the bounty assignments soon.

And hey, it's not a fork time yet, so you can give us your feedback and it's possible your suggestions can still be implemented.

I saw on the website. There is 2 way to claim BTF. IF on the hard way do we need to have existing bitcoin to claim or just an address with 0 balance will do? Sorry about that i am very new on this.

Very interesting proposal. Hoping Binance and few major exchanges will support this since development has already been done.

How many BTCFlash do we need for a masternode?

Same as Dash, 1,000 BTF

Now, either you already have 1,000 BTC and it gets forked (which is obviously not many people), or you acquire as soon as it starts trading (which is what most people wanting to run masternodes will do)

Do you already have spoken to exchanges and have a list of exchanges that will support Bitcoin Flash?

I really appreciate that you're using your time to develop a better currency.

So is this a Bitcoin fork or a Bitcoin clone? If this is a fork, how will you implement a masternode system?

It's a Dash clone modified to accept Bitcoin blockchain instead. Masternode system is already implemented in it.

What exchanges will support it?

All of them should support it (="credit it"). Otherwise they would be stealing BTF from you.

Another question is, how many exchanges will trade it and whether they will start trading futures before the fork date. We're working on it.

An 8 lines long ANN doesn't really give any guarantees as for the existence of a team who would actually do the project...

It's already done - look at the source code. It already works.

As it's a fork of a fork will bitcoin holders be able to claim from it?
It's not a fork of a fork. Bitcoin holders, and only them will be able to claim BTF.

Sorry I got confused.

Will be have to register bitcoin addresses to claim, or can any bitcoin holder claim at any time by importing a private key?

But the majority of them probably won't "credit it", and with all the other previous forks, exchanges like Kraken have not rewarded tokens to us. So which exchanges support it, and then which ones will trade it?

You are right, all of you. The exchanges are not going to list Bitcoin Flash until they are pressured by the Bitcoin community, and this hasn't yet happened.

Despite the source code being ready right now and everything right from the technical standpoint, it seems we are not ready for the launch in terms of public awareness. Let's shift the launch date one month into the future, so that we have enough time to "make some noise" and launch properly, instead of rushing into it.

We'll launch on February 1, 2018, block 508 000. That gives us plenty of time to convince at least some percentage of people it's the best solution to the Bitcoin fork debate.

Hi, you should learn from the recent B2X fork. When you are forking BTC, you need to be very organised and have some good answers to a few common and critical questions:

1. Who's the team??
2. Where can I get support?
3. Where's the community? - telegram, discord, twitter etc.
4. What's the tech - is there a whitepaper???
5. When is the fork - have a countdown to the block on the website if possible.
6. How & when can I get my btf?
7. Is there a wallet? Do I need to download 150GB of data to run a wallet? Where can I access it?
8. Is there exchange(s) that supports the fork?
9. Where can I mine this new coin? Partner with a few pools if you can.

Having answers to these simple questions will help the community get behind you. If you don't have answers to these questions, you're not ready. Get some help, there will be people willing to help you - particularly if there is a bounty involved.

BTW, switch to X11 algo; there is a whole community of disgruntled miners out there desperate to make there Bitmain D3's profitable.

Good luck!!

So, does this mean there is a developer budget coded into the consensus? (looks like 150000 coins starting on the 3rd block mined after fork):

consensus.BTFHeight = 502502;
consensus.BTFInitialBudget = 150000 * COIN
consensus.nBudgetPaymentsStartBlock = consensus.BTFHeight + 2;

Plus, there's only one developer and he/she has no other repository history on Github.

Why don't you provide more background info.

That is huge requirement to run the master node and very few will be able to hold 1000 BTF in order to do so. DOn't you think this requirement needs to be readjusted since it is Dash's style but the value of BTC and Dash is different so there can be done something to equalize the difference.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also there was no news about it anywhere and noone talking.
Too bad, I was actually really looking forward to that fork.
