I sent some Bitcoin on the 7th of December, and it is still pending.
It was only a small amount (0.00584902 BTC), but it's still something I'm curious to know.

Thanks!

It depends. Please see https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_expiration.

There are payment promotion services. For a huge mining pool, this does not pose difficulties.

Rather than acceleration, is there a way to force my transaction to get declined?

How Long Before Transactions are Rejected?

Transactions never rejected.
You could use salvagewallet to restore Unconfirmed bitcoin then spend it again with higher fee.

I don't think you can force your transaction to get declined, Your transaction will be automatically declined just wait for few more days. Blockchain is currently have heavy volume and many users are paying to accelerate their transaction.

I don't think so. all transactions will remain in Mempool until get confirmations. But there is some ways for spending it with higher fee before the previous transaction gets any confirmations.

I have never had that happened to me before, the longest that i had to wait for a transaction to confirm was a maximum of a week, after that i have always used higher fees to prevent that kind of delay. But your case is very strange because its almost fifteen days and the transaction is yet to confirm. You must have paid so little for that to happen.

Tx number or another wallet address please, it's easier to say something about possibilities when we can have a look at the transaction itself. (Fees, etc., the address in your signature has no transaction nor balance).
The expiration of a transaction was 3 days in the old times but now it's about 2 weeks and it's not automatic, it's possible that some nodes won't drop it from their mempool and you can expect confirmation, but the time is depending on the fee. If it was 0 fee, then it won't get confirmed, but if it has a fee higher than 10sat/B there's a chance that it will get into a block (sooner or) later.

If your fee is low, the deal may be late, but if it doesn't work out, it will be returned to your wallet.
