Hi all, I've been thinking of starting up a group in SW London to meet and discuss all things BTC/LTC/FTC etc etc. I don't want to put any rules out there for starters, let's just gauge the interest shall we? I'd like to discuss Mining to start with, we can decide on reoccurrence and topics on the night (or on here). I've arranged a 1st meetup for Wednesday 7th August from 7pm in Central Twickenham at 'The London Road', it's 2 minutes walk from Twickenham station which has great links to London and Reading. At the moment it's a large area in the main bar reserved with the option of a small function room if required. With that in mind please let me know you're coming so I can gauge numbers and move us if needed! If you need any further info please get in touch. My wife gave birth to our new baby. I couldn't make it. The newbie didn't follow up much to be honest. Extra points for the effort. Let's meet up this month guys. We are the only country with no regular buttonwood and London doesn't have a proper meet up. I'm in for the next. Let's keep this thread going.  |

There was/is a meetup in London and I was at the most recent event last month. It was pretty interesting with some good presentations.
I believe the organisers are planning on doing something a little more informal in The Pembury Tavern on Monday 19th I believe.

Thanks for the heads up steelboy See you there! I'm not 100% for it yet but I should be there. Just need to sort a place to stay. The Pembury Tavern accepts BTC if you didnt know which is nice. Now all i need is a close by B&B that accepts them too. |

Hi all,
Apologies been offline a few days. We did meetup but as feared just myself and a friend, lesson learnt to get some firm numbers before posting on a forum. If you're serious about wanting to come along then please let me know. I'll arrange another one for firm numbers and then from there the next one can be posted on here.
I'm thinking a Weds night in Twickenham as before so can do either 21st or 28th August. What do people think?
Also spotted the note about the HMRC office just over the road, made me smile, I'd not thought about that!
Hope to hear from people.

I'm up for making as many connections as possible so I will try to make it.
Have you not considered somewhere a little more central in London though. Might make it easier for most people.

Excellent meetup yesterday. I love the fact that I'm not the only crazy visionary out there  Next time I will try to bring few amazing miners and traders from the Spanish community !! be gentle with them, they don't speak English so I have to translate for them. See ya !! |
