If it does, we're all doomed puppets to be controlled.
The idea of BCH is nice, but, it's controlled and propped up by basically 1 entity which flys in the face of the whole reason crypto's became popular to begin with.

What do you mean were doomed puppets? For now i see bch was got a big marketcap in just a few months only i think there’s a good reason why some bitcoin holder move to BCH. and we dont know that reason

In my opinion, it is very unlikely (almost impossible) that an altcoin, especially Bcash, will overtake Bitcoin as the number one cryptocurrency. And the market cap doesn't mean anything, it's just the price of the crypto times the circulating supply. For example, If Bcash price goes down to 1k or less, then Ripple will take 3rd place, does that mean Ripple will be the #1 crypto in the future? No, why? because it's an altcoin. No once cares about the market cap, volume of payments / volume of trasactions are more important.

I think it's very difficult for BCH to surpass Bitcoin, but it can happen but it will take longer than expected.

I think it's very difficult for BCH to surpass Bitcoin, but it can happen but it will take longer than expected. Even though bitcoincash is fast it doest mean that he can already take over bitcoin. We already saw bitcoin is strong starting from 2009 until now bitcoin is so strong and vulnirable. Bitcoincash is just starting with hes career in this cryptoworld. There are more problem that he need to solve before he can reach bitcoin now.

Bitcoin cash has no chance in the near future to overtake the original bitcoin. To make this happen, the original bitcoin must accumulate many flaws and do not correct them. That there was a similar situation for the current one, when bitkoyn became very slow with hung transactions and so on. That is why recently there were so many forks, because the original bitcoin could no longer cope with the difficulties that had arisen. However, soon a lightning network will be introduced into the initial bitcoyne, which should solve all bitcoin problems and then bitkoyn cash will not have a chance to overtake it. It is possible that when the original bitkoyn eliminates its shortcomings with the network of lightning, bitkoyn cash will be lowered in price.

Dr. Adoni said on December 20th BTC and BCH would both be 10k soon then both go to 50k. His window of time was 2 weeks to 2 months. Within 48 hours of his opinion BTC went shortly to 11k. I posted link to his opinion that I respect as someone that covers crypto for multiple crypto sites. He says the fact Coinbase put it on their exchange makes the public accept it soon as 1 to 1 value. When he wrote his opinion the trade history of BCH was 20 to 1 value, now it's 20% to 22% in value no longer 5%. So read his opinion which is contrary to most here and keep a watch on value ratio. If he's right, bch is the play short term. https://www.soladoni.com/bitcoin-cash-bitcoin/

It's something to behold for BCH to have reached an height that it took not a small journey for bitcoin to reach but the truth is that the ground work was done for it by bitcoin. Whether it will take over by bitcoin or not, the future will be the determining factor and the entire community. The moment bitcoin is able to resolve the issue of long confirmation time, I am sure it will be more difficult for bch to take over.

Sorry, I do not see bitcoin cash overtaking bitcoin in future. The so called 8 MB block size being used as the selling point is only a temporary fix, the same problem being faced currently by bitcoin is only postponed by Bitcoin Cash as it will resurface later, when there are lots of users and the bitcoin cash mining space gets over saturated.

Anything is possible, but for me the deal breaker is that it's more difficult to convert to fiat than btc.

Bitcoin Cash indeed has the potential to one day overtake bitcoin as the world's most valuable cryptocurrency unless the developers make sure they fix the issue that made the split happen in the first place, and that is increasing the block size which in turn will reduce the fees.

I would not have expected that. Bitcoin Cash does indeed quite well compared to BTC, even though there are many manipulative overtake attempts by the community. As Bitcoin is currently facing a lot of scalability issues, this favors Bitcoin Cash. However, Bitcoin is still the most discussed and established coin. If there is any issue with Bitcoin in the future, Bitcoin Cash would indeed be a suitable successor. I wonder, when the Bitcoin Core developers are finally addressing the scalability issues. Are there any plans?

Cryptos are just speculation/day trader toys. If you want proof of that, use the last month of volatility as an example. Any commodity that can increase or decrease in value by 50% in a week or two is being completely controlled by speculation. If these same traders decide they want to speculate on something else, like BCH, then it will overtake bitcoin. It’s simple as that. Oh, don’t try to tell me bitcoin is this great new money that everyone is spending like mad creating the volume. That is provably false. Bitcoins use as money for eCommerce is dropping not increasing. Morgan Stanley‘s DBA business analyst James Faucette backed his argument with this chart of online retailers who accept bitcoin, titled "Virtually no acceptance, and shrinking": http://www.businessinsider.com/morgan-stanley-on-bitcoin-value-2017-12?r=UK&IR=T

It is very impossible for bcash to surpass bitcoin because of so many reasons. A lot of coins can even replace bitcoin cash in terms of its use but it will never replace bitcoin. Also, the fork of bitcoin cash doesn't have any specific goal other than to replace bitcoin long ago because of its popularity. If ever bcash did surpass bitcoin, then the market will be monopolized and that will be unfortunate for us traders.
