ShipBloc is a new project to streamline the shipping industry using Blockchaintechnology. The Objectives are:
★ To automate the shipping transport chain,
★ To reduce the paperwork needed in each step of the transport chain,
★ To introduce the Shipping Exchange Traded Fund (ETFs),
★ To enable Individuals and businesses to acquire maritime assets,
★ To form a platform for Nations and States to initiate, develop and expand any via-ble shipping and maritime investment, like Ports, etc.).
It is targeting the various stakeholders engaged in the transport chain across the globe, like ship owners, shipping agents, port authorities, customs & maritime regulators, Navy, stevedores (people loading and unloading ships), shipping crews, companies that engage
in facilitating services for the shipping industry, insurance companies for the cargo and last but not least the merchants, who use the shipping industries or agents to transport their goods to their clients. ShipBloc is not only targeting the physical chain of transporting, but also the paperwork involved and the payments going from one stakeholder to the next.
ShipBloc is a technology that utilises Blockchain and smart contracts to streamline and fully integrate the chain of activities in the shipping industry and avoid the risks of conventional logistics solutions in the across the whole transport chain providing trust for all stakeholders.
Overall it will reduce the paperwork done at every step of transport chain with the help of Blockchain.
