How is this not a pyramid scam?

lol..because theres no 'tier' structure. I, for example, as a pool owner dont take profits from my pool members members.

We have 59 mini-pools currently. These are my stats:

Rank    Pool   name                                                   Speed   Users

#2   Oldminer & The Blockheads   Platinum harvester   5055 MH/s   69

 Cool

If you like my post please feel free to give me some positive rep https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=18639

It's not a pyramid scheme, more of a referral spam instigator. As long as you have 0 referrals, or the people you referred are below your hashing power, you're taking a loss.

Calming that you can triple your income is quite funny and misleading.

Awesome number of users there xD

My only question is that at what point does it become better then deepbit ? Like what number of users do i need to make this better then what I am already using?

Well any pool is actually better then deepbit. Since deepbit takes a 3% fee on regular mining and 10% fee on pay per share.

I'v gave up on this for the moment. Was getting fractions of BTC compared to what I get at Slushes mining myself (6990). Possibly due to overall pool size or creating my own pool? Either way I may come back at a later date

We're just having a bit of bad luck on this particular block.  We found the previous two blocks in half the expected time.  Once we find this block we'll be back to high numbers and smooth sailing.  The thing about smaller pools is that sometimes you get lucky and get more BTC, sometimes you get unlucky and get less BTC, but when its all said and done it all averages out.

Triple Mining is particularly good, not just for their referral bonuses and jackpots but also because they don't lose shares occasionally like many other pools do.  This means that the pool is that much more likely to find a block, and you're that much more likely to make BTCs more frequently (and thus in greater number).

Don't be surprised if I make you a very rich man.  Wink

I certainly don't have any objection!  You can help stretch Team Ausp's lead into the stratosphere.  Just let me know if you have any questions or need help.

Also, they only pay up to the 2nd decimal place. :-/
For a newbie, we want those extra bits. Triple mining pays all bits.

Lets start sweepstakes! Who can bet when the block will be found? I'll choose the 5-6 hour period after this post  Lips sealed (1am-2am GMT+1)

That could be quite a bit of fun, actually.  In fact I created a game where we can place a few small wagers to keep us entertained until the block is found.  You can check out the game here.

Pretty much; its a crap-shoot.  Or, looking at it another way . . . we're playing a lottery to guess when we will win the lottery. Tongue

Auspician: I'm going to go ahead and give TripleMining a try. Slush's pool has treated me very well, but I want a little more transparency and the ability to automatically add workers without any captcha, so I'm using your link to sign up. Don't be surprised if I make you a very rich man.  Wink

lol the reason why I joined

They're probably waiting for the round to end, and I can't blame them.  For the 8 people in my pool that are mining, I have 12 that aren't.  I imagine those numbers will reverse as soon as the round ends and it becomes more beneficial to submit shares for the new block without the weight of all the previously submitted shares weighing heavily against them.
