The question here is, to defeat in/as what? Popularity? no way, store value?  maybe no.
Transaction capability? yes transaction speed yes. But this is a snapshot view today. At least some of the Cryptos are under massive developing.

For actual technical features here is a small compare chart:

Wanne get 10% of Cointracking? https://cointracking.info/?ref=M138678
Wanne join Binance Exchange? https://www.binance.com/?ref=11326731

Do you mean with this graphic calculation that BTX is more superior than any other altcoin that came from the shell of bitcoin? I wonder why BTX price was too low compare to other.

Yes in technical point BTX is much more advanced. But they don't put money in marketing like other coins, and they still distributing the coins via weekly airdrop.
Just make a test with the client, havn't seen so much speed somewhere else.

The reason why they create a new version of bitcoin is due to the non-consensus on the use of the code, the transaction fees and the low block size mining capacity. Probably there are many other reasons as to which some developers have shifted from bitcoin and created a new coin. But in my opinion those forked coins cannot overcome bitcoin.

I agree with the question, in what way do these altcoins wish to surpass bitcoin? Because we have to remember that before bitcoin became as popular as it is now, it wasn't intended for trading and no one even expected for its price to boom as much as what it had already had. Based on bitcoin's white paper, bitcoin is a p2p version of electronic cash which aims to save the people the hassle of going to a courier or a financial institution to pay the amount needed to transact. It was created for practical use. That's why I think the main purpose of these new released altcoins/coins is not only to earn during the ICO but also to have the same goal of helping people live a more practical and hassle-free way of life.
