I'm seeing a lot of very specific price predictions from some users.

Is there a record of past predictions by users on these threads? This would be very helpful to everyone, since you can know who has made 5/5 correct price predictions in the past, and who has gotten everything wrong.

I doubt such a thing exists, but still..

on bitcointalk and most other social media we have two kinds of "prediction"s which you should not confuse them with each other.
1. those that are making a real speculation, doing some analysis and predict it with reasons. in this case there is no 100% correct prediction anywhere in the world. i'd say more than 70% accuracy is the best you can hope for.
examples are more found on https://www.tradingview.com/s/bitcoin/ than here in my opinion.

2. those that are making bullshit up, adding fake analysis and fake reasons which sometimes make sense too. but they are idiots who are trying to spread some FUD because they wish the market moves in their favor. i'd say their real accuracy is less than 10% and that is only because even a broken clock is right sometimes. but if you check what they say you see them claiming to be always right!
examples: kwukduck, iamnotback and all his alts: Hyperme.sh, CornCube and about a dozen more, freightjoe, shortcoins, also lots of brand new accounts with 0 activity.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

I also doubt something like this exists because the number of users on this forum has clearly gone up significantly as well. With that you get a lot of users who are putting in their own predictions, and obviously most of them will be wrong. If there was some kind of list, it would constantly be added to.

I guess if you're looking for a way to know what you should look forward to in the future in terms of btc and whatnot, maybe take a look at explanations behind predictions rather than the prediction numbers themselves. You'll be able to educate yourself and eventually make your own predictions as well.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.

There's no record like that. It's just a feeling you get over time. Peoples' records used to speak for themselves, but honestly, there's too many new users making calls these days, and most of the great traders have moved on to other mediums (Twitter, etc) or disappeared entirely. I still see a few of the old greats around like chessnut but most everyone from 2013-2015 is gone.

MatTheCat and kwukduck are famous for being bearish and wrong. I can say that much....

There is no list and I think it would be useless, as there are so many people making predictions that some of them are going to be right just by chance. In addition, the fact that a guy has predicted the price accurately 10 times doesn’t say anything about the next 10 predictions. But I don’t think we have many people predicting accurately as nobody here predicted that we would reach almost $20,000 by December this year. I’ve read old posts, when price was below $3,000, and anything above $10.000 by the end of 2018 seemed too exaggerated.
