I don't think that the coins are a scam, but it remains to be seen if the alliance produces anything useful.

I highly doubt its a scam. I think the three developers have been fairly transparent about UNOCS and the goals of three coins working together. Their bridge is supposed to launch soon and depending on how that goes I think will determine how UNOCS fares.

I don't think they're scam. However, investing time and money in those altcoins is a waste in my opinion

Possibly, But you have to admit the prospect of investing in one coin that is directly supported by 2 different coins is interesting. It would be like Canada/Mexico/US all accepting each others currencies freely, albeit at different rates.

This comment expains it all:

I'm thinking most of the people trash talking here are just trying to drive the price lower so they can buy more cheap.

No it wasn't quite ready to roll at the release date, there were set backs which are completely understandable as it happens in nearly every industry. The fact still remains that this is a huge step forward from 3 coins that are practically brand new on the scene.

Not only not ready, but they put up this amazing hype with a timer. Then when the release failed, instead of being honest, they went with the good old "Because of concerned e-mails we need another 24 hours for DDOS protection"-lie.

When that failed, they first asked for 3 more days, yeah you all remember that nice picture with the cute kids. When people were angry and laughed at that, they went back and said it will be released tonight. Well "tonight" is now 8 days ago and we still haven't heard anything new.

Oh, and there is also the casino that was ready to be released "within days", but that is now months ago. If that was not enough the exchange was also to be released within a week. That is about 4 weeks ago...

Do you guys start to see a pattern here? Been a lot of hype, but nothing to show for it.

And finally just to rub it in, from the great PHX PR-team:

Block explorer seems dead though Tongue
edit: they are working on the block explorer Smiley

Seems like these great developers have been working 10 days+ to get the blockexplorer (one of the most important resources for any coin) to work, but like everything else, just empty promises  Grin[/b]

that being said if they deliver what they promise it will be great, but they aren't reliable.

All of the coins supported by UNOCS have either been premined, instamined or both.

I'll leave the decision up to you whether it is a good investment.

Premined does not necessarily mean death to the coin any more. Many coins are stronger than ever right now and they were premined (i.e. Novacoin). Especially when there are sometimes legitimate reasons for a premine. For example Phenixcoin (UNOCS member) premined and is using the coins to promote its poker site in the form of free roll tournaments.

I think the word "scam" gets thrown around so much in this forum that people risk becoming desensitized.

+1

very interesting ideas to have somewhat-linked coins, but if those coins are all worthless, it's a little more than a proof of concept.

Keep telling that to yourself, the only clone here is you. Probably trying to pump the price again.

Who is trying to distract who? You are probably one of the guys from the PXC team, everyone can see that the team has been accused a lot of times of making ghost accounts.
