There is no doubt that cryptocurrency is still being lead by no other than Bitcoin and the distance to its number two and three in ranking is still a big void though the two are now catching up enormously (Ethereum and BitCoinCash). There have been many big good news this year for Bitcoin but as we are about to celebrate the holiday season a big correction struck the coin -- from reaching as high as $20,000 to its current $15,000 level.
One of the many concerns or issues facing Bitcoin is the scalability problem which resulted into astronomical (to the moon) type of transaction fees imposed by the miners and service providers as the whole thing has already become like a bidding process. This situation lead to many to question Bitcoin's capacity and potential as a currency more than being a store of value.
We need an acceptable solutions and we need people to lessen their politicking and self-vested interests as burying our heads in the sand can mean the painful slow death of the King. Should we expect this problem to be remedied this coming 2018 or must we wait for another five years?
