Bitcoin mining is a disaster as is Pow and all it has done is to start a CPU army's race
where you need to keep buying bigger and faster machine to compete in the race.

Maybe if you have faith in Lightning then you should be setting yourself up as a hub

Miners will fulfill a much more useful roll but not as miners in a few years time because
a train is heading our way but i cannot share much about this with you just now.

Bitcoin mining is not a complex but less profit business. You should think this is not a trading and gambling. This is one kind business so profit is less but it is constant income. If you have more mining rig you should gain more profit. I think you are not understand the mining process. First you should gain more knowledge in cryptocurrency and mining it will help for your mining growth.

Its probably more profitable to mine eth or ltc or even bcc. Bitcoin will always be profitable but with the fees and requirements to mine btc itself, its a good option to go for the top 5 alts instead

For me, it's really profitable with the high transaction fee they are demanding for every bitcoin transaction they made. Also though with the decreasing transaction that is also caused by the same the reason I also stated in the first sentence, but at least it is fixed income rather than gambling.

You can actually get a lot from mining if you keep doing it from now on and see what you gain after a month. You can also use bitcoin faucets which has payouts every five to fifteen minutes and that wont take a lot from your time.

For already a few months is not profitable for regular users. It's profitable only for big mining farms. Investments in hardware are too high. Not the only way is trading, however you have to know market rules and principles to earn money instead of losing it.

My opinion is that Bitcoin mining is not profitable anymore for individuals. Unless you have mining farm your costs are to high compared to benefits you get. You can't compete with farms.
Cloud mining might look like a better option with less investment but there are so much scam sites that it's actualy not worth the risk.

Mining of bitcoins is not reliable source of income nowadays. Probably, the potential of miners to earn is four times lower than before due to great number of miners and limited supply of bitcoin. Miners can gain more if they are mining altcoin.

I think day by day the demand of Bitcoin is growing up so that the demand of Mining also increasing. I have a strong belief that in the year of 2018, Bitcoin mining will get more popular and profitable than today. you can see that the involvement of people are increasing so that they are becoming the fan of this system.

I don't think that it will become less profitable any moment also there has been updates where the people are trying to fork new crypto currency.. just because of this sole reason they want to kill the big machines all together that are used in minning because that literally means that .. rich is getting richer and poor is getting poorer because these machines are literally very costly and not everyone can afford.

Well it is profitable if you have a high end equipment/s the higher the hashrate, the higher bitcoin you will receive in mining pools but if you want to solo mine bitcoins you have to buy a lot of equipment due to high difficulty so, if you are an average person like me and majority of us, then don't go to btc mining and instead mine on altcoins like ethereum if you have a high computer.

you are wrong.
bitcoin mining is always at the same level of profitability more or less, at any time in the past, present or the future. and that is because how the difficulty works.

if difficulty goes up it becomes harder to mine bitcoin. if the price stays the same or drops miners will leave and difficulty comes down and it becomes easier to mine bitcoin.

if difficulty goes up and price goes up it becomes more profitable to mine bitcoin so more miners will join and difficulty goes higher until it reaches a balance.

if you have free electricity and huge money to waste - you can try mining. But electricity and hardware cost are really huge to mine nowadays - rather you should use that money to buy Bitcoin and keep your hold for a couple of years, then you will see good money.

because the bitcoin transaction is designed to get confirmation by miners.
and obviously only through mining bitcoin can be obtained.

but it would be more advantageous if you mining another altcoin such as ETH, XMR, ETN, DASH, LITE etc ...
