I sent some etherium to my electrum wallet by mistake and oddly the transaction did not error out and seemed to complete successfully. It was a week later before I realized I had the app pointed to wrong wallet. Is it possible to retrieve the coins or are they in crypto purgatory? Thanks

In blockchain technology once a transaction is initiated it can't be reversed, if sent to an address that has totally different algorithm, it will simply be burned (lost).

you should double check once & twice & even more to be 1000% certain of the address you're sending too, coz it's one way unfortunately.
