So we have been hearing this for quite a while now and most of us are of the opinion that bitcoin is one to HODL.
What about altcoins?
Which ones do you think are worth HODLing? (Really long term: 5+ years at least)

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

alt like like king, you can keep classic etc, i am sure fate etc will be like LTC and zcoin. they are great.

Definitely only few coins can exit in long term and will be profitable;
Ethereum
Ethereum Classic
Monero
Litecoin
Dash
Ripple
Are few coins which are good to hold for next 5 years or more along with bitcoin.

I think coins that are very worth hodling are ethereum, waves, ripple and ltc. These alts are worth to hodl and if in doubt you can make your own checking in which coins the worth to invest.

Why are so many saying LTC. Charlie Lee sold his position and also said that if you cant live with that ltc dropps down back to 20$ don't buy it. I'm not so sure that it's a good longterm hold. Only stating the facts. So for me No ltc like the other once. Maybe I'm wrong.

I think! All coin in top #100 on coinmarketcap can buy and hold to invest! But you can choice altcoin you like to invest! No body known exactly where is the best coin to invest! Gook lucky! |

In 5 years maybe those coins about which we know will not be any more. There will be something else and I would have ruled out so long.

Ethereum, litecoin, monero, verge, IOTA these are just some that can go on to be absolutely huge in the future, think bitcoins current market cap kind of big if the conditions work out to be favourable for them. There are so many good alts that you can hold. |

Bitcore (BTX) , has been going under the radar for a while, released months before bcash and best fork specs, get it cheap while you can.

Alts to hodl long time are Neo, BTX, DeepOnion, Bancor, Ethereum, Waves, Ripple, Stratis, EOS, Verge, EMC2...

Only alts that are proven and in the top 25. Outside the top 25 you have to be sure that the tech is good, community is good, and their use case is good. Inside the top 25 generally all those conditions have been met which makes them easier to HODL for that 5 years you want.

i agree mate bitcoin is good investment even if hard to predict when is come goes up and down the price in the market but hodling bitcoin is very profitable. i heard also from many speculation and predection for altcoin pumping in the next year i choose and start buying now alts. |

Eth is quite good and also litecoin. Both has proved to be growing for that past year, so 5 years is gonna be awesome for these coins. Ripple is quite interesting, they always make a scene when they surge. Many people are supporting xrp now. I believe nxt is quite a good catch too. I can see it has increased in value like 4 folds. These are the coins i'm holding right now. And i believe they will hodl worthy. 👍 |
