Good afternoon All,

Alittle back story. So I bought a MSI Z170A SLI Plus Motherboard and G4400 Processor PSU Combo from a user on here.  The User bought the mother board and processor and never used them. Come to find out when he purchased them he only read that the G400 would work but didn't read were the processor would only work after a certain dated motherboard  which comes with the newest BIOS or you need to update the older boards with the new bios.  Of course the mother board he bought didn't have the updated BIOS and needs to be upgraded. To do this you need to have a 6th generation 1151 Slot processor which I don't have laying around.

So here where you guys and gals come in. I don't have a 6th generation 1151 slot processor laying around and I was wanting to see if any one around the North Eastern US would happen to let me borrow one for a day so I can do the upgrade and use the processor I purchased.

Or If any one else has ideas I am open to all besides just buying another processor.

My trust should be proof enough to borrow a processor for a day and return it. I will pay for shipping of course.

If your open to this or have any great Ideas let me know ether through here or a PM doesn't matter.

OH and just to weed out the scammers that say they have a processor send me the shipping. Unless your Green trusted I will not pay shipping until processor is received. Depending on trust I would like to see some proof of processor as well.

Said screw it and bought one off amazon.

Thanks

The processor I bought was an Intel CPU BX80662G3900 Celeron G3900 2.80Ghz 2M LGA1151 2C/2T Skylake. it should let me upgrade my bios can I can use the G4400.

It would be basically brand new since I am only going to use it for like 10 minuets LOL wont even use the fan so the thermal paste should be good. Whats your offer?

Yea I picked it up on amazon for 50.50 but could have gotten it for like 43. But that seller wouldn't have had it here for like a week and a half. Don't see a reason why it would break. It better not break I will be freaking pissed. Even if it did I paid for the 2 year full replacement or money back warranty for 99 cents LOL and full refund in 30 days so if you don't want it I will just return it since I wont need it.

how long do you figure you can run the cpu without a heatsink before it dies?

I've seen chips last less than 30 seconds before...

where are you shipping from?

Shipping from NH If I remember right you are in CA. Might not be worth it. But up to you.  I am going to use a heat sink just not the one it comes with since the one currently install on the mother board already has thermal paste on it. Did not want to ruin the thermal paste on the new heatsink for bios configuring.

There's places where you can get them around $30 like on eBay used, rip

https://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-Intel-Celeron-G3900-2-80GHz-Dual-Core-CPU-Processor-SR2HV/112714969324?epid=527161346&hash=item1a3e55f0ec:g:5BUAAOSwLEtYimBo

new for ~$35

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Celeron-G3900-Dual-Core-Skylake-Processor-2-8GHz-8-0GT-s-2MB-LGA-1151/322795064954?epid=2254421607&hash=item4b2815ce7a:i:322795064954

They regularly sell for around $30 even new IIRC, just looked on some chinese sites too and saw new/possibly used G3900s for $30 + FS. Always nice to have a cheap cpu in your toolbox for the future in case something fails.

Yea I don't use ebay most of the time only because I keep my personal finances and bitcoin separate and I can get amazon gifts cards fairly easy with my btc. I can get ebay as well but amazon are usually easy to find.

Burnt out as in they don't work any longer? If they are still at least working that might help. The one I ordered should be here tonight hopefully.
