Cryptocurrency Market Cap Predictions for 2018

Hey guys! First of all this is my first post here so I hope I'm not doing anything wrong with where I post this etc.  

What do you guys think will be the market cap of all cryptos in 2018? Currently it sits at around 550 Billion USD.

I personally think it's gonna rise heavily to around 1.5 - 2 trillion USD. Any thoughts?

mmmm it went from 20ish to 115 then we had some bears on the road and now from 115 to 650ish.... lets say 3 trillion by the end of 2018

The whole cryptocurrency will pass 1.5-2T, no doubts on this. Even on 3T it still will be far away from the 17th century tulip bubble like nocoiners love to compare.

I firmly believe that the markets will have at least a 10x next year meaning that we will be at the minimum level of 5 trillion by the year end with the top end of range being around 10 trillion.

It'll around 1 - 1,5 trillion. How the market reaction to the crypto growing so fast. that will be pushing the marketcap too as the majority of the price for altcoin increase a lot and then that brings the more valuation to the market capitalization too. I'd expect the price of bitcoin around 30k at the end of 2018. we will see that,

I think we will probably see 1 trillion being broken but not by too much, market cap grew enormously this year and I'm expecting quite a slow down in 2018.

In my opinion in the year 2018 there will be more amount, this is influenced by so many sovereign States to begin to acknowledge and have a positive view on cryptocurrency, this confession definitely increases public trust, which this certainly makes a difference with the rising marketcap of all crytocurrency, as more investors will join and make contribute on the cryptocurrency marketcap for gain profit, in my opinion it will increased by 2 - 3 trillion USD in 2018 or maybe more

As per me, total market cap will cross $5 Trillion. BTC & Cryptocurrencies will find more & more new markets this year. BTC price will grow more than 8 times from here.

1.0 to 1.5T before it settles down and bases around $800B to 1.0 T to end out the year.  During this time a number of new services will give coinbase and Gemini a run for their money.

We may start to see state backed currencies that are much more stable as a place to park money besides less secure areas like tether.  If this is so they will boost the market cap significantly.

I hate to be a debbie downer, believe me, no one wants to see the Mcap reach over a trillion, but I don't think it will be quite as easy as everyone predicts, it all relies on bitcoin, as she is the mothership leading all other alts through the universe. I have a feeling the banks will want to make bitcoin look as bad as possible and manipulate/lower the price as much as possible. I expect a big pull back in the market before we hit a trillion dollar Mcap. Its coming, just not as quickly as many people expect. I hope I am wrong though!

I would second that, 3T+ by the end of 2018, from now it's just 5x from 600billion.

I believe it could be more. If the steady stream and trickle of upward price movement is any indication, we could be potentially facing EXPONENTIAL growth once this goes mainstream. If this year bitcoin grew by 1800% imagine how much more it could grow in 2-3 years time. Only very few people know about crypto if you look at the potential population and soon people complaining about high prices now will soon be left behind regretting they didn't buy cheap while they could.

The market right now is similar to 2013, which is really really high. IMO the market cap will go down. I would estimate it to be around ~$300 Billion market cap on average on 2018.

I guess by the end of 2019 it might reach up to 1.5 trillion USD. I only hope today it will be distrubuted good among good coins and in that case, all coins will get more attention and people will be more informed about blockchain.

ok you have spot the similarity and compared height of 2017 with height of 2018, however, did you bother to compare number of wallets/active users from 2013 to 2017 ? do you think the same fundamental will apply with such a huge number difference?

not to forget number of exchanges, regulations, japan accepting bitcoin as legal currency, and a lot more....

I would suggest with your belief you should sell all your crypto assets and go full into fiat.

I think we will see 1 trillion dolars. And not going to be even higher in 2018.  If it rises, it may be our harm. There may be trouble at the point of entry of new money.

Every year the marketcap is rising so high and no doubt with that. Why? Because every time more people involve. New people who involve in this crypto currency will make the market grow. also the exist crypto lover will be put more money every time.

Seeing BTC drop from 18k$ to 11k$ in a few days, I don't think the high number of the market cap could stay for long if all trader decides to cash out.
