I'm thinking of opening a separate bank account just for my Bit coins if I need to access them.  Had anyone done this, and with which institution.   I travel a lot and would need to use one of the larger ones, unfortunately.

Thank you.  I'm a u.s. resident based in Florida, but as a flight attendant travel to the Caribbean and South America, specifically Brazil a lot.  I'm basically looking for a bank, or credit to tranfer some of my Bitcoins into  as an emergency/ fun travel account.

I dont think there is a bank that accepts btc as deposits.  I hear that the Internet Credit Union is btc friendly though.

One of the main points of bitcoin is that is it decentralized, and there really is no banks that hold it. If you are looking to gain interest on your BTC then I would advise using coinlenders or another service. As for quick cash in an emergency there is a couple sites that will send you a debit card and you can get funds off it using a spot price -5% or so for the fee.
