This is to introduce the opening of https://intersango.com a new EUR exchange site.

This is being run by the https://bitcoinconsultancy.com/ the same group running https://britcoin.co.uk

Commissions? Bank transfer fees? etc...
And please, change this striped blue background, it hurts my snowblind eyes! Smiley

no commissions (like britcoin) bank fees are paid by sender and depend entirely on which bank you send them from.  a more complete fee schedule for bank transfers will be forthcoming

Receiving a SEPA transfer will cost 5 PLN (1.27 EUR). Your bank may have fees for sending a bank deposit. You are responsible for paying any incurred fees. If your deposit is insufficient to cover bank fees then it will be denied.

I second this - that blue background is awful.

Cool, I was wondering why this didn't spring up sooner.
Glad it's someone I trust (Genjix) behind it.

We're working on EUR as well but Europe is a big place and there is room for a lot more than 2 or 3 exchanges.

I saw already that there are other EUR exchanges such as btcex or bitcoin7... Wondering why they aren't used much.

Possibly people just use mtgox. We'll have to wait and see.

afaik, btcex doesn't offer EUR. And bitcoin7... well... they have quite high withdrawal costs and are not always actually user friendly... (the latter point is just my personal opinion!)

Site of intersango lucks Barby and Ken, -  just beneath the flowers. Hey, maybe just blue hypertext on white page ? That for sure, not less professional, that existing design.

Is this value fixed? And what are the withdrawal fees? Also, how do you make money if you have no fees?  Grin

in my book bitcoin7 is the best exchange to buy for everyday use, that is spending btc, not investing. they allow payment with paysafecards, i.e. getting my bitcoins is a matter of minutes, not days. i walk into my cornerstore, give them cash, they give me a paysafecard-code, i enter this into bitcoin7 (5% fees) and can instantly buy bitcoins. dead simple.

i wouldn't do this for larger sums to invest, but for buying stuff at the few places i know that accept bitcoin, it is perfect.

disclosure: i have no affiliation whatsoever with bitcoin7 or any other exchange, and you are welcome to use any of them. i do not spread referral codes. thank you.

High volume sites are usually made with whitish colors. Just look at youtube for instance. The colors on your site is very sharp. Also, the beercoin exchange use the same software. Did you check that they honour the license,  ie. make the source available?

Congrats on your exchange. Fix up the colors and I guess it can be something good!

The Intersango site looks exactly the same as the sister Britcoin site, but with a different colour. I've done a bunch of trades at Britcoin, and it works well, no complaints.

This is probably one of the simplest exchanges to use apart from Britcoin. I just hope it's similar to Britcoin with fast good service, quick turnaround times on withdrawals etc.

Thanks Genjix for all you do for the Bitcoin community Grin Grin Grin

Code:
Cost / BTC   Giving     Wanted
11            1 BTC      11 EUR
11            2 BTC      22 EUR

If I understand this correctly, the order book  has 3 share to sell @11 and 33 to buy @11 (why cant you just use "bid" "ask"?Smiley.
How is this possible and why are those trades not executed or are those sell orders orders "all or none"?

I didn't look earlier, but right now there are still those two open orders you noted but no open orders at all for people wanting to buy BTC at any price.

Nice site, sepa transfer went smoothly too.

One suggestion: after logging in, instead of just showing welcome back, actually show the most recent activities or go straight to the profile page.

Edit: and another one that I would love: email notifications.
