I am seeing this now from Coinbase, anyone else?

What are your thoughts? Good or Bad? +1 or -1 ?
+1 = Good
-1 = Bad

I think the new design lacks polish.
-1 The page content doesn't layout well in narrower browsers for no apparent good reason.
-1 the icons aren't aligned well with the text in the left hand navigation which is esp apparent when you mouse over them
+1 the landing page is nicer

I like that they're going for a very simple and clean look. That being said the website could be a lot more responsive.

What was more simply and clean than the previous minimalist look? This is like blue thunder of electric shockwave.......with a hint of Mac advertisement and additional third party javascripts.

It looks a bit tacky. The previous app was really cool.

or maybe this one is just gonna take some getting used to.

The new design looks more unique, which is nice.  However, it is extremely dull, lacks polish, and doesn't even render properly in Chrome (sidebar links are completely off center with icon at the base of the div will text is vertically centered).

Actually...icons being off center is a common theme throughout, almost every icon paired with text has the same noticeable offset difference which looks terrible.

Definitely prefer the old interface, even if it was generic.

Update:  And I can vertically scroll for what feels like years even though all content has ended, including the footer text.  This feels like something a high school student taking an intro to web design would make when going over CSS, not something you would expect to see from a company handling tens/hundreds of thousands of dollars on a regular basis.  The fact that it was pushed live with glaring issues on Chrome is pretty bad.  Based on BTC Guild's analytics, Chrome is the most popular browser used by Bitcoin miners, and I would be surprised if it's not the same for other Bitcoin based websites.  45% Chrome use, 2nd place is Firefox with less than 20%.

I wonder if Charlie Lee had anything to do with it.

Looks "trustworthy", for lack of a better word.

Looks like it was made on/with/for Windows 8.

No, you guys are approaching it wrong. It's following Facebook's aesthetics.

Look at Coinbase, now look at Facebook...

Naw, not even close. Coinbase, by comparison makes Facebook look good.

That freaking Coinbase blue is an assault on the human eye, crappy fonts.
