Where to move my BTC wiith this fork happening

Do I need to move my BTC out my wallet on my ledger to get the post fork coins? Do I need to xfer to an exchange or what?

Sorry if this is a daft question I can’t fins an answer anywhere.

you should be fine, do not move anything to any exchanger if you are not sure they will support it; it happened with last fork where some exchanger didn't want to support the new coin and people who deposited were screwed.
If you have it in a ledger you are good to go, no need to do anything as now.
