Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

In as much as Bitcoin is famous and great, there is still a huge possibility of it been chanced by other Altcoin. Bitcoin is where it is today because of what it has to offer, if any altcoin can offer more benefit than Bitcoin, then it can challenge Bitcoin, after all they are all indirectly independent of themselves. And I bet it will happen soon, because the transaction fee of Bitcoin its becoming something to worry about.

No , at least in the nearest future, I don't think that will appear new altcoins which can challenge Bitcoin. We hve already some promising and solid altcoins like Ethereum and Litecoin, but Bitcoin still number one in the crypto currencies world and expected to stay in this position for long time.

BTC is a brand and nothing more. I think that BTC did it most important role in crypto evolution. Today new coins are coming. They have better technology, more private, faster with less transaction fees. It is a matter of time when other superior crypto will win the crypto battle and become first leader.

Altcoins is still altcoins and bitcoin is still the king of the cryptocurrencies as of now but as many stated above, even it is small. There is still a chance for the new altcoins to stand out like bitcoin and be the next bitcoin in the market but i think it will take a lot of years because bitcoin is too far and the gap between altcoin and bitcoin is too big so it is not that easy for altcoins to replace bitcoin.

Do you think that will appear new altcoins can challenge Bitcoin ?

There are some coins that are seven better than bitcoin with low transaction fee and speed but what they lack is adoption which is what bitcoin is enjoying as the pioneer in cryptocurrency

No, it's not that easy to challenge the king, even the one that already exist for a long time still can't compete with BTC, a new coin won't stand a chance because the coin will need a huge support and need big company or country to back up the coin, so nothing come in an instant, need time to climb up and compete with the best

If bitcoin price would probably continue to decrease while an alt coin will appreciate as much as bitcoin does it will be possible but as far as the history is concern no alt has ever reach bitcoin position considering also the fact that it is the king of all crypto currencies. If ever an alt will have to challenge bitcoin I think it will need a hard times proving that it is much appreciated and stable enough for the increasing demand of future

There is a possibilty that one day there is an altcoin that will challenge bitcoin , but that will happen in the near future. For now there is no altcoin that could break what bitcoin has today. There are many altcoins in the exchange markets that have been pumping in their designated value but none of them reaches the half of bitcoins value. Bitcoin will always be the king of all digital currency,

Do you think that will appear new altcoins can challenge Bitcoin ?

There is possibilities that altcoin can challenge bitcoin but it takes a long time and need a stable and high demand in the market to surpass bitcoin, because bitcoin is the pioneer of all the crypto currency that's why bitcoin has a high popularity and high demand in the market, there is many potential altcoins in the market that it's price pumping day by day and has a low transaction fees but altcoins need a big support with bitcoin because altcoin cannot easy to replace bitcoin.

Definitely that is something that can not be completely discarded, almost everything is possible and that is one of them, just look at the large number of altcoins that appear very frequently,in one of those and it can happen that it's just as disruptive as BTC is,but I do not think it happened too soon, those things take some time and it's not something that happens overnight, for example, some of those that now exist seem very advanced in terms of what these intend and their development.

and also even though how good this may project will be i think that also that this may not be the threat on bitcoin if there should be the another altcoin fro to be made of even ethereum that a lot of people think that can challenge bitcoin but at the end it may not been ever challenge bitcoin how about for the new one.

Holders of bitcoin will not let that things happen not unless if the technology of new altcoins can meet all the standards of investors. First they need to overcome giant altcoins and it really takes time. Better to focus on those coins that is their already.

Yes in some ways like eth and xrb because their wallet are base on simplicity, but the best way to think here is even some altcoins will similar to bitcoin in the future i'm btc value will still here in crypto because it's already good in many ways like transaction and even the price so if ever some altcoins will similar to btc like eth and ripple now still they can similar but they already have value.

it will be very difficult, although many newly emerging coins with such high strength will require a process and take a lot of time. because we know that bitcoin is already trusted by many people. I can only say that candidates who have a greater chance to challenge bitcoin are just BCH and ETH.

Bitcoin is a brand though Bitcoin was one of the very first successful coins that made digital payments popular. Many have tried and failed though Bitcoin stayed the successful coin and a lot of coins are using part of its source code.
