Some Newbie GPU mining questions

I am in the middle of building my first GPU mining rig and had a couple questions:

1. Is there anything wrong with using Windows 7? I don't want to spend the money on 10 if I don't have to, and I really don't want to use Linux if I can help it.

2. How much heat is a 4 gpu rig going to generate? I'm not worried about the winter, but the summer is making me nervous. What's the easiest/best way to deal with the heat? I currently have my rig in the basement, but I could move it if need be.

I got windows 10 on eBay for £3.50
Not sure about windows 7 but for that price you can’t beat it  genuine key to it’s from a  scrap PC

Hi!
1. You don't have to spend money and buy a licensed Windows 10. The most harmless variant - download from official website and dont activate it. The system will work without problems.

2. I think the rig with 4 cards will not allocate too much heat, unless it is a card 1080ti. I have a rig of 6 cards and he is in the room where I sleep. In summer, open the balcony door and there is no problem. Winter works as an additional heater.

If I have to mine on Windows for some reason, I vastly prefer to use 7 over 10.

 Heat generation is going to depend on the power the rig draws.
 For an easy comparison, a common portable "room heater" draws about 1500 watts on it's high setting.

You may want to think about the sound generated by the rig if you put in your bedroom as the sound from the fan may be disturbing.

If your really set on windows 10, you can upgrade from 7 for free until Dec 31st.

Most of my rigs are windows 7 OS, got no problem with it.

Just drove the heat outside when summer time arrives, for a 4 GPU cards, it wont be as pain to drove the heat outside with Fans.
