Looking at bitcoin watch, it looks like deepbit is pretty close to 50%.

It's always a good idea to diversify the network as much as possible. It makes things less prone to attack, whether that attack be directed at the pool or the network itself.

I suggest moving from deepbit to one of the smaller pools. There are alot of good new pools starting up. Ours is one: www.bithasher.com

yeah why isn't everyone flipping shit about deepbit right now? just a couple of weeks ago mining on deepbit was worse than being a pedophile.
i see no reason to "OMG ONLY MINEZ WIT DEEPBITZ FER DA BUTTCOENZ!". more frequent low payouts are the same as less frequent high payouts. there is a symbiotic relationship to profit vs poolsize, and it seems to be well below deepbits size.

BTCGuild is down, that's why...
There are still more pools. And i don't know why you dislike deepbit. So far i'm ok with it, since i'm on proportional and got low processing power.

No, I'm saying BTCGuild is down (or not at full capacity), so that's why it appears as though deepbit has 50% of the hashing power. If BTCGuild was running properly, deepbit would be at 40% or so. And I don't hate deepbit. I mine on deepbit myself as well. I've tried other pools, and nothing has matched the consistency and information available at deepbit. I just like it best.
