I have a 7 gpu rig and it keeps freezing after about 5-10 minutes. Originally it was running 24+ hours before it would freeze, then would run 6-8 hours and freeze, then 2-3 hours and now about 5-10 minutes.
The setup
(7) nvidia 1070 gtx 8gb (blowers)
Mb: asrock h110 pro btc+
8gb crucial ram
Intel celeron 2.8ghz
(2) evga g2 1000w psu
Ethos - usb boot
I had these set at
Globalminer claymore
Globalcore 1506
Globalmem 4608
Globalfan 85
Maxgputemp 85
Pool-USA.ethosdistro.com:5001
Pool-eu.ethosdistro.com:5001
I have tried lowering both core and mem, but am having them same problem. I also reset everything and took it back to default settings for ethos to see if I could baseline everything, but it’s still shutting down after 5 min or so.

How many gpu can you run on windows 10?
I have was planning on making this a 12 gpu rig (it's tough to find 1070 blowers... haha)
I am hoping to still use ethos, but I'd be open to the idea of windows if needed

im not sure about how many nvidia card can be in one rig under windows 10 , but im sure 12 amd radeon RX 470/480 , RX 570/580 working fine with windows 10  |

figured it out... the usb jump drive with ethos went bad

I think I'm going to try it. I just had another rig do the same exact thing. Everything is running at stock rates and stock ethos configs and it keeps freezing also. I am definitely having my doubts about ethos |

Im willing to try hive, but I've also got a product key for windows I haven't used yet.
Any idea how many gpu's windows will support?

figured it out... the usb jump drive with ethos went bad
so what do you do when the jump drive is bad? Do you have to pay and download another copy of ethOS? |
