Recently, all of a sudden my account on Whaleclub.co had no money.  I contacted customer support on whaleclub.co, and they told me that they “force liquidated” my holdings.  I asked them why, and they gave me a reason that didn’t make sense at all.  They have refused to return my money which is worth around $2,000.
I know that their reason didn’t make sense as I have been trading investments for 22 years and have an MBA in Finance.   I know how trading works as I have been doing it daily.

The conversation I had with screenshots is available- just let me know by PM.  After some research, I found that whaleclub.co has been scamming people for years.  Below is a sample of some people who have been scammed on WhaleClub.co (there are many other examples too):

With the increased interest in cryptocurrencies and Bitcoins, many more people are getting their money stolen from WhaleClub.co .  I plan to continue to pursue my complaint until my money is returned or their website is taken down.  This website has continuously stolen people’s money and continues to.  I will be putting reviews on social media which I’m very active on to create awareness.
If you have lost money, I would ask that you post your complaint to their domain registry services:

https://www.cloudflare.com/abuse/
https://publicdomainregistry.com/report-abuse-complain/

They do have the authority to block their website from appearing on the Internet.  I am trying to let everyone who lost money on WhaleClub to post their experiences this weekend.  If they get enough complaints (especially in a short span of time), they have to take action.  Maybe then whale club will return our money or at least not scam other people.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  For all of our sake, please post your experiences to these two websites this weekend.

It has been months since @haleclubco is not active in the forum, But he is active on twitter, if you could hire a lawyer and report this case to the police, maybe the police will be able to locate Him.

Thanks for your reply.

Has anyone been able to identify the owner(s)?  They probably use fake identities.

I think that the two links I provided would help shut down the website or force him to pay.  Please post there if you have been scammed.

I contacted cloudflare and reported WhaleClub.  They told me that their website hosting service is digitalocean.com

Fraud/Scam complaints can be emailed to

  abuse@digitalocean.com

This is probably the most useful place to email your complaint.

It might prove very difficult to recover your money if they indeed did a force liquidation which would mean something along the lines of their solvency being questionable.

As for the police, I'm not sure if you will get any useful support from them, especially if you report it to authorities who have no idea how to pursue transnational or international crimes.

Prosecution is unlikely unless you and the rest of the victims will come forward with tangible and solid evidence backing up your claims of fraud. You might need to engage legal representation (an attorney or lawyer qualified to litigate or represent class action matters). This might require you to invest some money upfront. Not all lawyers will work pro bono but some might agree to take up the case on a contingency fee basis which means they get paid a certain percentage of the amount awarded by the court.

If their website is still active, the best thing you can do for the crypto community is to put all your effort and energies in trying to have that site dissolved and removed. Successfully doing that will help stop the rising count of victims (and future victims).

I agree with everything you just said- especially what you have in bold.  I have emailed the abuse contact for the web hosting company.  It took some digging to find it as it was not in the whois information and they used proxy server.

It looks like Whaleclub.co the website is down and has been down for a few hours. Other pages have disappeared as well. Sketchy.. I'm not sure what to say about that. Maybe a server fell, but honestly that's giving too much benefit of the doubt. Cryptsy and Mt. Gox, but on a smaller level? Possible.

The domain registrar has told me a few days ago that they re-activated the domain, because whaleco provided documentation of their company/owner.
