Where to keep alternative coins safely for free ?

Is exodus in your opinion a safe alternative coin wallet ?

Is binance safe to keep alternative coins ?

Assuming we're talking about a growing investment, at what point would you buy a hardware wallet and which ?

I just bought about 0.2 bitcoin at a Turkish website (paribu.com) but I'm afraid it will have waited too long before it is transferred to another place. Can you recommend a safe alternative to buy cryptocurrencies safely from Turkey ?

If you don't want to do something with your bitcoins, you should move them to a wallet of which you have the private key and not holding them on a exchange. If you want to work with them then I would say that binance is a good option.

In that way not consuming the cost on buying the hardware wallet means your choice is desktop wallet which are all private key secured. Most of the online centralized wallet like coinbase would not share the private key and they mentioned it on their faq page itself.
I do not understand how you suggest some newbie to use the exchange wallet as a security concern one.

I think everything has a certain level of security, it is good to be wary of actions that are less comfortable, do not be too long to hold

You should really think about a hard wallet as it is the most secure choice right now. It is very risky to use an exchange for storage, even for small amounts.

I am keeping my alternate coins in few exchanges. But I keep some in their wallets. I love coins which have their own wallet.
This makes it very trustworthy. Of course, I make a lot of trades daily with altcoins so many of the stock market sites

There are many digital wallets are now available in the internet. But for me the safest option is the hardware wallet which is you kept it offline, in a secure possible place. That way there is a small probability that it will be hacked, always have a or create a clone of your private key. The least secure option is an online wallet, since the keys are held by a third party. But for me whatever option you go for, always be careful and mindful. Back up everything you have.

You have to keep all the alternate coins in secret wallets which has a private key. I think private key is the most safe thing.
Also you can use reliable exchanges like binance and bittrex etc.

Don't tolerate this kind of behavior on where you do store up most of your coins into various exchanges which we do know the risk behind it because we don't hold up the private keys of such wallet which it would really be much better on holding it off into their supported or designated wallets.

MEW is safe if u hid your private key
For erc20 tokens then I would rather use this up than on storing into other places. MEW is safe as long the keys are being kept of secure where people cant really even possibly bruteforce it.

I don’t trust exchanges much, I prefer digital wallets for altcoins instead. As for bitcoins, I’m planning to buy a hardware wallet in future. It’s not free, but still it’s the best option for me, as it is the most secure storage possible.

Some coins holds in local wallet and others in exchange.
Better to keep those altcoins to their respective wallets where you are holding the private key / seeds of it.

I'm only storing minimal amount on exchanges as they are hot topic to the hackers and we can't tell even how secured the exchanges we are using, we don't have to be confident.

There's nothing wrong for keeping in exchanges but make sure that you are not putting sum of your portfolio there.

Altcoins can be stored on Myetherwallet. Also for storing altcoyins, you can order a hardware purse and store the popular altcoyins on it. To store bitcoin, there are many wallets.

You could send to Binance. It's very safe. I'm currently holding BTC there as well. Maybe by the time you could buy/sell altcoins from there.

I’m prefer keeping my tokens on hitbitc. I think it’s very good exchange and have a good security: 2FA google and email confirmation. Very safely I think.

Ofcourse on your cold wallet or hard wallet if you are planning for long term hold and you can receive airdrops also if they had. Binance is safe and secured so you don't have to worry about if you transferred your funds there.
