Bought Ripple - now where to store it?

hi everyone

just bought some ripple (XRP) today at CEX. Just want advise on the following:

-  should I keep it on the exchange?
- should I transfer it to hardware or paper wallet
- will there be any transfer fee deducted for taking it out of exchange?
- will there be any fee when I import it again on the exchange?

I plan to keep in for atleast 6 months to a year.

Ledger Nano S gets my vote too.
Or on the exhange if its not a lot XRPs. Chances it gets hacked are small I think

If you are planning to keep it for months,you can secure it in your hardwallet,every transaction to exchange would have small fees.

is there any other wallet apart from hardware ones as they are a little expensive and not available where I live.
