How  many  people  have  BTC  in  the  whole  world   today??

more  people   have    ,more  worth   the  BTC  is.

How  much   is  a  btc   worth   when   All  people   know   BTC?Huh

I   think    there   is   300,000   people   have   BTC.

30,000,000   people   will    have   BTC    after   3   years.

and   20   times   worth   the  BTC  will    grow   up.

Do   you  think  so?Huh

the  more   people   use  ,the  more  value   BTC  is!!!

more people have, more worth the BTC  is.

This is most likely the case, as more people use Bitcoin its value should increase (supply and demand)

How much is a btc worth when all people know BTC ?

No one knows.

I think there is 300,000 people have BTC.

Do you think so?

Bitcoin growth involves too many factors (banks, governments, people, etc...) for anyone to predict how many people will be using Bitcoin in 3 years. It could be under 1000 people using Bitcoin if it fails.

Today, how many people in the whole world have BTC?

As more people have bitcoin, it's value will increase.

How much is BTC likely to be worth when everyone is familiar with it?

My personal guess is that there are 300,000 people who currently have BTC.

I'm also guessing that 30,000,000 people will have BTC in 3 years and that the exchange rate with common fiat currencies will increase to 20 times what it is today.

Do you agree?

Increased usage results in increased value!

Cleaned that up a little for you.

Cleaned it up a bit more.

May I ask, why do you think that, right now, 300000 people own bitcoins?

PS: Next time I need collaborative writing help, I know where to come Wink

OP has a good point (thx clean up crew!). Bitcoin is worthless if too few people own it. That's part of the genius in bootstrapping this whole thing.

I started mining with my laptop over 3 years ago not because Bitcoin was valuable, but because the system provided ideological motivation. Things moved to the "hey, I can buy drugs with this stuff" type of motivation and Bitcoin grew as it expanded to this new, more populated user base. Now we are entering the third wave where significant financial gains are motivating smart business people to set up real industries around the technology. It's this maturation and entering the day to day lives of normal people that will drastically increase the value of Bitcoin. But it will take time (like 10 years, not 10 weeks).

I'd also add that the value scales not solely with the size of the userbase (a temporary phenomenon), but also with transaction volume. A technology that could never handle more than 7 transactions per second isn't worth much.

Mathematically, I would say Price = k*(u/sqrt(1+u^2))*T^b where k is a constant that depends on the currency you're buying bitcoins in, u is the # of users (scaled), T is the transactions per second the network is doing and b is the constant you throw in to look smart later.

Hardforks aren't that hard. It’s getting others to use them that's hard.

We need more circulation, not just people hoarding it. That's the only way for mainstream acceptance. Too many people are looking to get rich off of owning Bitcoin when its value increases but its value will not increase if most of it is hoarded. Winklewii, are you listening?

If the number of global users you estimate is lower than 373448, you're doing something wrong.

3 of the wallets are mine (forgot 2). I showed it a few friends. They used it one time and have 0,001BTC in the wallet and my guess it, they lost the access to it already.

What is the definition of "having BTC"?

Yeah, I think I've created 4 or 5 blockchain.info wallets. I don't actively use any of them anymore, and they all are either empty or have an extremely small amount of bitcoin in them.

I tend to create a new blockchain wallet anytime I need one. Then I use it for the specific purpose that I wanted it for. Then I discard the password and identifier and forget about it.

I keep most of my bitcoins stored with a paper wallet, and the rest are held with Bitcoin-Qt.

USD/BTC needs to be stable for big merchants to start using BTC i believe. This way no hoarding would be usefull so no speculation anymore
