Hey guys,

i just obtained a few heatsinks for myself for additional cooling of different things like raspi or Bitfury chips passively.

The heatsinks have a size of 11,5x11x5mm and a 3M glue sticker for mounting on the chips is already attached.

I would sell a few of them in lots of 16 pieces(for mounting on 1 Bitfury board), i would ask 0,1BTC for 1 lot excluding shipping. Iam located in Europe but depending on the amount of heatsinks, shipping wouldnt be so expansive to anywhere i think.
New offer:
20 pieces of heatsinks for 0,1BTC

If you are interested just send me a PM.

Best regards
Foofighter

I would buy some if you can tell me for sure that their height does not interfere in any way with an adjacent h-board (for example when using a starter kit with multiple h-boards).

My face when you get this stuff cheaper than I could, even though I live a relatively short drive from their global headquarters...

So Foofighter did you read my post? Have you tried them with an adjacent board and not just standalone?

Why would they add heat sinks to the TOP of an Avalon board?
The packaging of the Avalon chip has the chip die bonded to the bottom side of the carrier, and rejects heat out the bottom of the chip.
Which is why they have those large thermal via's on the bottom of the board. There is a air gap between the die and the top of the chip carrier.

Adding heat sinks to the top of an Avalon doesn't do anything. It just costs money.

you are right, the back side is prefered but from temp measurements there isnt so much difference between both sides in temp.

I ordered new heatsinks because many people asked for it, should have them in hand in 1-2 weeks.

So Iam open for new orders here.

cheers

Hey guys,

if there is interest I could also offer a few of those full heatsinks:

they are custom reworked by myself and I have only a handfull of those at hand now for personal useage mostly.

Iam also not sure if the fit in a fully populated Rack as the have a height of 15mm, I would probably only use them if you have only a handful of cards and always a free slot behind a card with this sink.

Pricing would be 0,12 for each piece excluding shipping

cheers
