It seems to be hovering around 13k as it has for about a week now. I don't see it going any lower aside from some minor movements here and there. I think this will be a good sign to investors to buy in for another pump in the coming month. I think you're right, 40k isn't out of the question or anything.

numbers can be deceiving sometimes when they become bigger. the ATH was nearly $20,000 which means $40,000 can only be a 2x rise. even if you consider the start of the year price of $13000 it will be a 3x rise.

in 2017 price went up 20x to ATH or 13x till the end of the year after the correction. and with all the things that are going on right now, i don't see this rise slowing down and even if it does slow down it won't be to 2x. it will be at least to 5x which means somewhere around $100,000

Well, I think the price of bitcoin is going to reach at least $60,000 by the end of the year 2018 because bitcoin still have strong momentum on social media and also people minds. The demand is there and the supply is very small.

I once said some time ago to a friend, later this year we will see bitcoin between $ 30k — $ 50k. I do not know for sure because it is very difficult to speculate in the world of crypto. Well, hope it will happen.

The article is more than a month old, but this kind of highlights a few things.

Bitcoin was apparently flirting around $10,000 at the time of writing, and Novogratz was saying that Bitcoin could reach $10,000 by March 2018. Bitcoin reached that a few days after the date of writing, which was November 27 lol. That tells us he's not overly bullish like McAfee is.

$40,000 seems like a safe bet, but I don't know. We've been stuck in a rut recently and I'm sure the clogged network is stifling growth. Something will have to change to reach that value in my opinion.

Who knows what will happen a year from now, I don't like to give such long predictions because that is simply not possible and it's pure guessing. Bitcoin is highly volatile and the price changes very fast in both ways so all options are possible. Let's rather focus on near future, a next month or two.

Like 20k, 40k is just one more step for bitcoins. I believe bitcoin price can go higher, my expectations are high. Its not without a reason, I'm here for two years and until now many times price raised more then I expected in short period of time, much more then I expected.
Bulish market isn't over, I think bitcoin will continue to increase in value and one of the next stops will he 40k. Let's not forget that we are on the half way to another fork for two years and many things can happen until then, but after fork we fan expect triple price from now.

If I am not mistaken it is the news of november 2017, if the speculation is true, then I will wait for the surprise to happen again in bitcoin this year. I see bitcoin prices are now very weak. I will not sell in a moment of panic like this. I expect the next surprise this years. If the speculation is true, then there will be many more millionaires and billionaires just happened in 2018.
