does anyone think shift price might go down?  wanted to get some of it when it was in the 1 dollar range but did not.  Now the price is so high where i think it would be hard for it to go up a lot.  But if it does go up, you can't 100x it like when it was 1 dollar.

The current price is not high ! Like I mentioned above shift has a low total coin supply and marketcap ! This project can and will be 50-100$ at some point this year! This project has accomplished more than some of the top 20 coins that are just hype with no working project! Just wait till people see the real value here

SUB had a ICO and they have the funds to do marketing.They got news articles, youtube videos and a few more things.But, yes they still don't have anything to show to the public!

While Shift is focusing more on delivering the product, but also they promised to start marketing this month so we will see.

Shift deserves this year atleast a 1 Billion marketcap!

yes as you said we will see how this coin develops when the marketing plan is starting in this 6 month many things can happen.
its only listed at two exchanges and its a bit bad that bittrex doesnt accept any new members. i really hope that more exchanges will add shift.

Shift has only $100 M market cap and lots of trash coins are being pumped since December 2017. There is no reason blocking SHIFT to reach $1 B market cap because it has real usage in the platform. I love it.

SHIFT will surpass the $100 mark easily in 2018. Read up on SHIFT and you'll see why and wonder why it's still so low at the same time... don't miss out

So many shitcoins pumped to 1b or more in weeks in some cases even days.

You are absolutely right, but the tech is not the problem, Shift is light-years ahead of some other shitcoins, but lacks on marketing and exposure on bigger exchange sites. I believe something similar happens with XSPEC, it seems to be the better privacy coin, but the marketing is very poor. But both are doing the right thing, if they start a serious marketing campaign with a developed and working product, they could 10x in less than a year easily.

yes the lack of marketing is a problem with this project. really hope that the 6 month marketing plan at the end of this month will exchanges make to add this token to their list.

IMO the key factor that will push Shift to $1b+ market cap is that they should be one of the first, if not the first, platforms to implement Sidechains. This is huge because it solves for dApp platforms the scaling problem, like DAG solves the scaling problem for currency/store of value tokens. If Shift delivers on sidechains before Lisk, as they plan in their roadmap, then Shift could become the Raiblocks of dApp platforms.

The other key factor is that Shift is an entire dApp platform with unlimited use cases (more dApps can be easily developed with Javascript) but it already comes with a pre-bundled decentralized hosting dApp to help drive adoption of the ecosystem. The website homepage (shiftnrg.org which already as others pointed out is hosted through their web hosting dApp Phantom) explains this "killer dApp" concept. It is absolutely mind-boggling that Shift isn't already $500m+ because the current upside is so huge (i.e. that of a file and web hosting dApp plus that of a next-gen dApp platform in one) and it will easily go past $1b IMO this year, could even happen in Q1. My prediction is $2b by the end of 2018. It should tell you a lot that the original System Architect of Lisk joined Shift in late December. I think this project is going to be huge.

As others have already stated, the difference in market capitalization between SHIFT and SUB lies in marketing. Time and time again, I see less-developed projects outperform those who are technically more advanced. Sadly. Let's hope that the new marketing plan will change that very quickly.

So I bought this thing a few days ago, along with Oyster, SpectreCoin, Xtrabytes.

Of those 4 coins (SHIFT, Oyster Pearls, SpectreCoin, Xtrabytes), the only one which has failed to yield any gains so far was SHIFT.

Yet I thought the project was so good, and much better than Substratum? It doesn't make sense why the price is so low.


Someone (or a group of people who pool funds) should pay John McAfee or someone to talk about this coin. it NEEDS to get marketed ASAP.

We don't care if the exposure is all hype - once they find out what it is, the price should rise quickly.

Why is the team not marketing this stuff? HURRY UP before Bitcoin kills the alts.

the big bang will happen when it gets added to more exchanges its only on bittrex but has still a 100m marketcap.
with that low supply it has a very high potential to rise 5x-10x

OK. I will consider paying for an ad on a facebook page that is visited by many crypto fans personally.

An *extremely* high quality coin with poor marketing needs an *extreme* marketing strategy.

Electroneum (ICO I participated in) did that with regards to marketing, and they got very successful. Even though they are good, they are rank 40, and Sub is rank 70, while this gem is sub-200. It's nonsense.

Yeah and also Bittrex doesn't accept new signups so it's hard for new users to buy Shift right now... we definitely need another exchange and marketing before the price can really fly.

I have a feeling some new exchange might be coming soon. Had the same feeling for my other holdings like Lunyr (which was stuck in $5-15 range), and then suddenly Binance added it.
