Etherdelta just lost my confidence due to the that nonsense ico, I don't trust their team and will not use it anymore. The last hack also showed how easy for those who are using ether delta to lost lots of ether and tokens there.

I think if this is give a little chance for your friend to get back his amount but you can try to make a retweet on etherdelta official tweet about that. but do your friend already checked it through the explorer service? Due to the etherdelta ico and the developer is not focused with the exchange site.
