Introducing a newer, tiny startup looking to make a large impact in the Crypto world. We offer custom designed, limited edition cold storage wallets for safe keeping of you coins and for the collectable factor.  Each wallet comes non-funded ready for you to load with the specified coin.  As of right now, we are only shipping to the United States.  If you reference our Road Map below, you'll notice we're looking at various coins.

Our first wallet, Verge - Series One, just went on sale as of 5 minutes ago.

Below are a couple of images, our 2018 Roadmap and a proof of the Verge Wallet.  You can visit our website at http://www.bitelevation.com

I was interested until I saw this:

Quote
All Public and Private Keys are generated using the Verge Random Generator. Once printed, all Private keys are held in safe, offline storage to prevent malicious intent. Bit Elevation retains these keys in order to assist customers accessing their funds if needed. Public Keys are published online along with the corresponding serial number.

How could you possibly justify keeping a record of tgr private keys? In my mind these are cool but unusable $24.99 wallets. I’d be happy for you to explain it as I would have been a potential buyer.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention as a possible security threat. My thought process was that it was actually adding another layer of security to the authentication of the wallet itself.  If anyone tried to counterfeit these wallets, the Bit Elevation team could easily authenticate or deny based on several factors, including the private key.

However, now that this issue has been brought to my attention by a potential buyer, I would like to address and fix this issue to make it more appealing and secure to you all.

As of 6:03 AM this morning, I have destroyed the file containing the private keys.  Bit Elevation will no longer keep a record of private keys for it's paper wallets that we create.  This information will be reflected on our website shortly. I believe that in order to serve the needs of the crypto world, I must listen to the crypto world, and I appreciate you guys giving me a head's up.

Once again, thank you and I look forward to serving you.

Thank you for doing this.
There have been previous coin makers who have kept copies of private keys that led to the redemption/emptying of funds from almost all their coins (Coinographic, Allitin etc).
Having a copy of private keys means that the manufacturer can essentially redeem all the funds or that the keys are at risk from being stolen/hacked by a 3rd party.
If you look around at all the coin makers a large majority now only sell DIY coins due to this need for extra security. There are a few makers that do sell assembled wallets but their products are often used more as collectibles rather than actual forms of offline storage.

We have looked into the DIY wallets...  While these are A-Ok, we wanted to present our customers a product that is ready to go upon delivery as well as standing out from the crowd.  And that's why we chose the route we did.  Security is a high priority for us, both for the Wallet Authentication and for the actual funds on the wallet once it has been loaded by the customer.  If we don't listen to the customers, we aren't doing our job.

As mentioned before, we are a tiny startup.  In the crypto-world, it's hard to build trust, but that's our main goal.  We are going to do what we say we are going to do no matter the challenges we are faced.  We want everyone to feel secure using our instruments to hold funds for the long term.  We want to be the "go-to" for securing coins.  We want to be the "go-to" for giving gifts to your family and friends.  We want to be the "go-to" for not only holding your funds, but also increasing the value of your investment with our wallets themselves.

It won't happen overnight, but it will happen.  Smiley

As of right now, we are only shipping to the United States.

Does this still apply? On your website, nowhere this is being mentioned. I can place an international order (since payment, and collecting of shipping address is being handled by paypal). $24.99/Free Shipping. So…. free worldwide shipping ?

How should we know which serial numbers are still available and which not?

Heads up op, most will not load regardless of your stated method.  Either from the fallout of other loaded coin scams by other creators or just because most here are collectors and a more viable way to store coins is to generate your own key pairs, which I highly recommend anyone to do.  Either way, burn them private keys after production, it is only another source of failure even if held for your stated reasons.  It only takes one bad apple you know to screw everyone you've done business with.

Sorry I was not able to respond to your messages quicker!  Instead of responding to each post one at a time, I'm going to reply back in the same message to all, if that's okay.

We haven't worked out the specifics with shipping internationally.  At this time, we're researching the best, most cost effective way to ship internationally for us and for the consumer.  If one were to order from a country other than the US, we would politely refund their payment and explain.  Our website is still in its infant stages as new things are being added daily.  Obviously, one thing that will get added tonight is the verbage that we are not shipping overseas as of yet, but it is in the works.

As for the serial numbers, they are on a first come, first serve basis.  The serial numbers were just added last night to the site.  At the end of each week, I plan on updating the serial number list with a "sold" status.

I'm a firm believer that you have to start somewhere.  I chose to start this journey on the best crypto forum.  There were certainly hesitations starting my first post with wallets that I am producing.  Be that as it may, I wanted/needed the criticisms from the most crypto-seasoned people in the world.

My gimmick- I want to produce really awesome wallets for some currencies that aren't as mainstream as Bitcoin. We do have a special paper, we do have custom holograms, and we do have unique graphics, yes.  Don't forget the added embossed image as well, because that's one of the coolest parts of actually piecing together these instruments.

The Bit Elevation team is mainly comprised of me.  I do have a friend, who is a member of this forum, with whom I get consultation from.  This person does not have access to any of my files.  As I mentioned earlier this morning, the private keys were destroyed.  To answer your statement about all 99 prints potentially being compromised in theory- In a theoretical world, your statement could be accurate. However, knowing that I or anyone else has zero access to these keys, nor can anyone regenerate them leads me to believe that none of these wallets would be maliciously attacked in that sense.

Quote
WTF...  you guys really have given yourself a disadvantage here.. no one will load these at all - if they did they would deserve to have funds stolen.

As mentioned above, it would be impossible to gain access to any of the private keys as of this morning.  You're right, I did set this up with an immediate disadvantage on my end, but I would not have known that had I not posted on here.  I believe we have remedied the disadvantage to the fullest extent.  And now by acting on such recommendations gives us an advantage.

Quote
Yep...Private keys are sacrilegious to hodl bro. Trust is a big factor to manufacture any kind of device to load BTC on to. Just my two Satoshis

And I hope that I can gain your, as well as everyone else that would like to store coins in the future, trust.  I believe the first step in gaining that trust is listening to the community and acting on it.  I don't expect to fling a new product out in this community and everyone be gullible.  I knew there would be kinks, as mentioned by you all, that I would have to get right in order to build my integrity.  I plan on continuing to do so.

Quote

I understand.  You get screwed once, and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.  I can totally agree.  As stated in a reply earlier in reference to the DIY wallets, if I don't listen to the customer, I'm not doing a good job.  I have started looking into this more today and it seems like a more viable option for future wallets.

Thank you all for responses and constructive criticisms.  I appreciate every single one more than you know.  I hope my responses have answered your questions and if you happen to have more, please ask!

Thanks for your reply,

I too had this same dream that you have , but mine was in 2014...
I produced a Paper wallet with keys and was instantly shot down.

I even tried a DIY version....  I released some into the wild..( they are on gold Paper )

but in 2015 , I produced an Artist Proof of my Work...         only 10 of them.....

This is how I broke into this collectible forum .  For the past 3 years  I have produces better and better products.

Now its 2018,... Am I able to produce a cheap, fund-able, Paper wallet that people will still not fund......

  The Bitcoin Savings bond.

It only ruins the Art......to fund them....  I have been told......

If you need any pointers, advice, or recommendations.   Im happy to chat in PM......

One other thing, People that like my work , know who I am....

It's a neat design, I was actually interested in purchasing one.

That was until I discovered that you thought you could both generate customer keys on behalf of your customers AND store the private keys.  Just by asserting that, you should probably never again offer to generate private keys on behalf of customers. I doubt it's maliciousness, but the pure naivety to think that's a good idea demonstrates a lot of incompetence regarding proper key management and Opsec.

Secondly, you leverage the name "Bit Elevation" and yet do not have any products for Bitcoin. Instead, your first product is one of the most transparent pump and dumps in the shitcoin arena. Vergecoin (formerly Dogecoin Dark) has consistently marketed itself as a privacy coin, yet has zero technical innovation under the hood.  It's not private and every feature it has is trivial for any other coin to accomplish (TOR relay nodes, yawn). There are clearly large social media campaigns to promote and pump a coin which virtually everyone with a technical understanding of cryptos knows is 100% bullshit. Again, I don't assume you are supporting verge maliciously or to lure people into a PnD, but it just shows more naivety and inexperience.  I noticed your roadmap said that XMR was in your future plans. That's an excellent choice to build a future product around.

I say none of these things to be a jerk and hurt your business. Honestly, as BG4 has wisely shared, this is a tough market and you may need to go back to the drawing board.  Spend some more time into learning this incredibly deep technology, and come back with something better that doesn't require you to touch private keys and uses a non-scam coin.

Any keys generated by a 3rd party, in this case the manufacturer, are unsafe and therefore this is not a cold storage product of any sorts. Unless you can modify the design so that the users can generate, and *implant* their own keys, these are just standard coins.

Vergecoin (formerly Dogecoin Dark) has consistently marketed itself as a privacy coin, yet has zero technical innovation under the hood.  It's not private and every feature it has is trivial for any other coin to accomplish (TOR relay nodes, yawn).
This too. Vergecoin is the purest form of a useless shitcoin.

After manufacturing 20 Verge Series One Cold Storage Wallets, we quickly realized from respected peers that these wallets were insecure.  Our thoughts were to produce a wallet that was “turn on and go.”  However, we overstepped a major boundary with producing public and private keys for consumers.  That is a big no-no.

Instead of selling wallets that have the potential to be attacked and funds mishandled, we have decided to stop producing these wallets.  We have 20 of them on hand.  These wallets will now be classified as,  Collectables, and urge users not to fund these wallets.

These wallets will be stored at Bit Elevation and will go on sale as collectables at a later time.

Meanwhile, Bit Elevation has been hitting the design suite hard to come up with the right prototype to replace this wallet as well as a design for future wallets.  Our timeline to replace the Verge wallet will be sometime next week.  We also have a Bitcoin wallet that will be available the following week.

Thank you for your understanding

These are being listed on eBay as we speak. Look for "Limited Edition Verge Coin XVG Cold Storage Wallet - Unfunded".  These are the Verge Series One, Collectables now.
