SkyCoin is a third generation cryptocurrency, it does 3000 transactions p/s and will do more in the future (way more). Its main focus is a decentralised internet for which the so called ''miners'' have been shipped out december. The miners are really hardware enabling people to set up nodes for a decentralised internet. It also has Skyledger a blockchain where ICOs can be held upon, each ICO will function independently from SkyLedger with its own unique blockchain. SkyCoin is also a privacy coin. The project has been in development since 2012 and I think it can go very far, with several ICOs already on SkyLedger and many more to come.

I want to get involved but it has recently gone through a huge pump and hoping I can pick some up inbetween the 10-15$ range otherwise the ship has sailed and I gotta get in on a newer project.

Hm well it has come down a bit right now, I wouldn't let price psychology stand in the way of joining. I don't really think 10-15 range will be seen again. But we might see the 200$ range soon.

This coin is very hard to predict. A lot of coins will enter the circulation in the coming months which will cause massive dilution.
On the other hand, they start to deliver their product and more people start to realize the big potential and pour money in. It's a tough prediction. It should go up in the short term, but I don't expect huge 20x or 50x pumps.

Third generation coins + privacy are the future.

In short term, my prediction is that SKY will fall to nearly $20.
About 6-12 months prediction, I'm expecting SKY to cross the $70-$80 barrier.

Keeping an eye out on this one. SkyCoin's claim to rectifying Bitcoin's problem and providing a truly decentralized currency that wouldn't be hijacked by miners sounds cool on paper though...
