I just started mining and was curious to if the payouts happen right away or once the block is 'confirmed'? coins don't seem to be showing up on my info or in my wallet.

depends how your mining if your solo mining then you may never get a payout. if your pool mining you will get a share of what the pool earns depending on your hash rate or if its pay per share mining then a fixed amount per share

the only way to make anything is to pool mine unless you have a massive amount of hashing power
