VERGE what is happening

This is what happened:
1) dev's released the new wraith protocol on 1st of jan , few hrs late from a self-imposed deadline, at the moment wraith is working for OS and Linux and they are fixing the last bugs on the Windows version, my guess in hrs-days it will be out.

2) There is a lot of FUD going around with verge (IMO its targeted FUD , not sure who/what is behind), few examples of FUD mentioned in this thread :
         - leaked IP's - RETRACTED - see here https://cryptocrimson.com/verge-xvg-leaking-ip-address/
         - Wraith not working : FUD , go and download it , check out github and you will see the devs are all over it for the last days and get            your info on verge from the official channel : https://twitter.com/vergecurrency?lang=en

Yes I do hold XVG and I will keep on holding because I do believe in this project and all the targeted FUD makes me think that verge will be huge soon. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, just sharing facts with you all.

I think you have half explained it yourself in the original post. McAfee promoted the coin in the first place so you have all the people that will purchase based on his recomendations. I am sure Verge will do well but you need to wait for either the next pump to sell for a profit or let it grow organically.

I got some Verge a few weeks ago when mr Macphee made the announcement and value went up. made some profit. now it is just hovering around going no where. and some controversy on it now.

The first question is, why did you buy it? I still don't get people who buy during the obvious pump...you never know how far this pump can go...just don't buy at ATH and you'll be all right. Now, I would recommend sell in loss and take profit somewhere else. It's better than wait for another pump as some people advice you here. It's just my opinion

I see it go down sharply and I dont think it wont recover I have verge in my hold I think it is not wise to sell it now and cut loss your capital investment though you can gain it in some other coin but in my opinion it will rise its price sooner or later on.

My advice to you. As Verge hesitates you, now it's best to leave and not sell, but wait for the best moment when it will rise more 50 or 100%!

I think you should hold Verge honestly. It has been stalled around 2b mark for over 7 days now. At any time it may explode, especially with any good news.

I'm also surprised at such a sharp drop Verge. But I have a rule not to sell coins at a loss. And I think this altcon promising. And you just have to wait. The price will rise significantly.

Mate, i have the same rule. And the time showed me that i have right. It can happen at any time, in 6 months ,in a year, but the coin will recover for 99%. If the coin is not just hyip, but also has technology and team of devs, so the chances to grow up are very high. just be patient. I bought Verge for 1300 satoshi and gonna hold for some time.

Dont sell your position at loss. However if your in a gain now. Sell some  on recent spike. monitor the trend. if the price creates lower low. exit all of your positions.

Verge has a long history in the scale of cryptocurrency world, But these coins are in the shade of many others. Verge shows quite stable growth with not overpumped prices. It’s still worthy to invest in my opinion.

I also bought this coin, but it rolled back down, but this may be due to the growth of bitcoin. But, for some reason I believe that this coin will make several X's.
