$629 isn't bad considering GTX 1070 is going for $800+..  Undecided

You people lost all sense, do not give in like the idiots do. Hold strong and buy only when it at msrp price. Do not be an idiot.

I am using https://www.nowinstock.net/ to inform me of availability. But honestly I haven't had any success actually buying equipment at MSRP. The cards just get sold WAYYYY too fast.  Undecided

I think another good option is buy some 2nd hand GPUs, the only thing is we need to check these GPUs carefully. In my place, somebody starts selling GPU haha.

Not quite that simple. Who knows what's the quality of 2nd hand GPUs. As a buyer, you don't have a peace of mind and run some risk.

I would much rather buy new GPUs.

Agreed with you, buying 2nd hand GPUs is not that simple. It may work perfectly in the 1st month, but we dont really know the reason why they sold it even the price is just fluctuated a bit.

Yep, it may work on a small-scale, like buying 1 or 2 second-hand GPUs. However, imagine if you run a farm, the operational hassle of buying 100+ second-hand GPUs is just a nightmare.

I have Gigabyte p104-100 and no matter what I do, I can't make them go above 30.5 mh/s on ETH.

- Tried different drivers
- Tried core clock (-200 to +500)
- Tried memory clock (0 to 850)

Out of the box, the card does around 25 mh/s.

The memory is Micron and on Windows 10.

Maybe because it is Micron..

Those Nvidia GPU's are pure gamble... If you get shi**y ram it won't to good... I got some 1060's which are only capable of doing 18,6... Friend got the same model with different RAM and his are doing 24,6 mhs....

I kind of feel like that claimed 39mh on ethereum is bunk. 25mh/s is what you would expect from an unmodified gtx 1070 so I would say you are closer to a real number than the OP

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

It's legit for ZOTAC, who knows about Gigabyte, a shit company can't even make a fan that works.

For anyone who might be interested:

Palit P104-100

There are a few incorrect shares, but nothing serious.

If i add 20MHz more on MEMClock then every second share on GPU2 becomes incorrect, i guess +800 is max for everyday use.

Yeah, GPU-Z doesn't reveal everything.

You could recheck on the 1st post, my P104-100 has Micron memory as well. As I understand, it may relate to timing control, so check the Vbios.

Eliovp explained it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2677496.msg28622292#msg28622292

With just 72% power limit, 40Mh/s is a lot. Have you tested with power limit around 85%?

Take a look at one of the first P104-100 review here:

https://www.bitnand.com/nvidia-p104-complete-miner-review

40MH/s per card is real Shocked Shocked

p104 4gb
180w
0.75 kh/s cryptonight
1.08 mh/s neoscrypt
39 mh/s eth
524 sol/s

I found a group buy for these today, for about $720 CAD each, minimum order of 6.
I guess I'll grab them since there's nothing in stores and my mining expert is very sad with only 6 cards. Thanks for the info here, it helps a lot. The guys buying/selling them are of course noobs and I can't trust their numbers until I found some more here.

Nice to know you could grab some GPUs. your testing performance with Equihash is really nice, almost the same with 1070 Ti.
I dont know why my test for ZEC just achieved only 470 sol/s. But I plan to mine ETH, so it's not problem Cheesy

I didn't benchmark it myself, just summarizing the info I've found from multiple sources. There's a video on youtube where the cryptonight and equihash numbers came from, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOXc35DiAbM

Interesting. Where you located in Canada and if the price includes delivery and taxes?

I can buy cards cheaper, even Nvidia increased pricing for $100 pet p104 recently.
Just hassle with customs and delivery.

Hopefully, it works out as I really would like a few of these to put in my stupid asus mining expert motherboard. It basically requires mining cards to get over 13 cards working at once.

Can’t you put 13 nvidia cards and 6 AMD cards? I read this somewhere, just can’t find the article right now. I’m interested because I’ve got this mobo being delivered tomorrow.

For 19 GPUs setting, you could check this thread. Actually I tried this test (19 P106-100 GPUs) before, but I failed.
13 Nvidia + 6 AMD it should work.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2338482.0

For 13 P104-100 on Asus mining expert MB, here is example (from 1 guy in my mining community), nothing special in setting.

With power limit set at 85% hashrate per card card is 0.15 Mh/s higher, but power consumption @ wall exceeds 1000W, temperatures are also higher, not worth it.

Thank you very much! I even dont release that fact, so I think I need to change the setting.

Dear all, I just got my p104 cards yesterday however having problem getting my Windows 10 to recognise it. I tried using 390.77 Driver version but Nvidia said the Driver is not compatible with my system.

Can you please advise how and where to download the Drivers for the p104? Thanks in advance!
