Dear all, I just got my p104 cards yesterday however having problem getting my Windows 10 to recognise it. I tried using 390.77 Driver version but Nvidia said the Driver is not compatible with my system.

Can you please advise how and where to download the Drivers for the p104? Thanks in advance!

Works fine for Palit p104-100:

Thanks I will try it again later. By the way I just started this new rig with new installation of W10 on biostar 250 btc pro MB. Is there other app or software I need to install in order for the Nvidia app to run smooth installation after download of the Driver?

Driver and msi afterburner is all you need.

Silly question, I’m using free version of W10 and not activated on the key yet. Will that make a difference to driver compatibility and reading by the OS? Does getting the official key and having it installed make a better difference?

There should be no difference at all.

No difference, been mining with unlicensed Win 10 for some time now.

This is the best I can get from Gigabyte P104 4gb (Micron)

I'm not sure why your P104-100 just got 30Mh/s. My GPU has Micron memory too.
Actually, as I know, most of miners here who got P104, they reported the hashrate is around 39-40Mh/s.

As I know, Bitnand offers the P104-100 mining rig with 9 GPU. The design looks very cool.
But 1 P104-100 with 629$, I think it's quite expensive. They gives spec. is 40 Mh/s ETH mining, but in a demonstration image, the reported hashrate is 31.8 Mh/s, it's quite strange.

Is it legit to order from Bitnand, anyone has experience ordering form them, don't know if they are scam?
And yes, it's quite expensive, but all the GPU prices kinda crazy at the moment :/

Seems like a bit of a crapshoot with those cards. $629 seems like a lot for 3 months warranty, no backplate, and temps seem high for running at 100% fan.

I'd rather pay the same price for a similar hash rate and a 3 year warranty with an almost guaranteed ability to sell the card on the used market.

everything you said makes sense, but honestly you can't find similar hash rate for that price that's the point (40mh/s-135w) :/ correct me if I'm wrong?

Prior to the current massive shortage and "gouge pricing", well over 40 Mhash on ETH was EASY to achieve for well under $600 using a pair of RX 470/480/570/580 cards or a pair of GTX 1060 cards.
I think you could also get there NOW via 3 x GTX 1050 - which are still in wide fairly good supply and NOT getting price gouged at all - for under $500 and possibly close to $400.

Tradeoff is that the rig density is lower.

Agree, but that investment is not justifable first of all coz of the power efficiency... lets say I put 3x1050 it's about 75-80w each, in total 225-240w against 135w....
So bigger PSU, less cards in a rig, more money for the RAM, SSD, mobo, risers...

Thanks to all of your help. It was due to my W10 installer on older version, an upgrade fixed it and driver installed.

Mining dual coin with claymore 10.6 gets about 36mh/s for p104 but the claymore hanged and kept resetting with 0 hashrate though temperature of all GPUs showing. Trying now again with version 10.5.

The actual "in use" figures I've seen on the 1050 and 1050 ti have been mostly in the 50-60 watt range - they only have a MAX TDP of 75 after all, for the most part.

They also seem to come in around 14 Mhash more or less on ETH, which isn't bad - pretty close to RX 470/480/570/580 levels on ETH for efficiency.

Also, YOU CAN GET THE CARDS - they're still widely available at LESS THAN MSRP with a fairly wide selection to choose from.
I have yet to see ANY source for the P-104-100 that I can buy them from, and I STILL find the 40+ Mhash claims VERY problematical.

Hi fellow miners!
I have recently seen good  wholesale price offers  on P104-100 (different OEM brands) as well on popular mining cards (gtx 1060, rx 570, 580) including both OEM and recognozable brandnames. The prices are like before the 2017 mining boom if you buy 50 or more. These days when even Walmart adjusts prices up following the demand on GPUs there are not too many other options to chose from if you want to do mining professionally.

But I noticed in this thread that when it comes to Alibaba, it is considered too risky by many people. But what about Alibaba customer protection and sellers ratings Alibaba allows to track?  Do you think it is still risky even when you buy from good ranked sellers?

For instance, there are some established manufacturer's with 10-15 years history out there. Those usually have "Trade Assurance" customer protection, similar to what we have on Paypal or Ebay , covering your purchases  up to 40 000 -70 000 USD or more.  They can also provide  samples before you decide to move on with the bulk purchase.
Has anybody actually tried to buy directly from such manufacturers on Alibaba?

I can’t correct you, you are correct! However the cards need to last. A three month warranty and no resale value is a risky proposition.

Then the best is to wait for the big names to start selling their own, like Gigabyte, Msi, Inno... If we wanna play safe, mining is all about safety... and a very safe business aswell Smiley
