i dont know much fact, but buying it at 118 satoshi back then on september (then xvg drop dead to 60 sats lol "hodl till a dollar"), too fast growth , i think 0,5 dolar this year is already great for xvg

Verge is a wonderful coin with very good security like Monero. Reaching 1usd this year is very possible. Once the major altcoins has reached its peak. Profit will flow to secondary coins.

I think it's a reasonable suggestion to think it will get to $1 this year. Possible more. 'Privacy coins' will definitely prosper this year.
But, there are no facts in crypto!! No assurances and no way of realistically predicting a coin's growth as we are entering a completely new space. Traditional methods of interpreting graphs and using traditional stocks/shares/currencies can not predict future growth of cryptos with any degree of certainty. The mythical crystal ball would do just as good a job!

I'm holding some verge as I believe in it. I personally believe in >$5 - but longer term. $1 for 2018 is very achievable in my opinion based on real world usability, and the inevitable hype that will see all USEFUL cryptos make large gains in 2018 with mass adoption.

You asked for facts, so...

They released Wraith.  Good!
It appears to work as intended, despite some initial FUD it did not.  Great!
They released it past the deadline.  Bad, but under normal circumstances, NBD.  Stuff happens.
They have a history of missing deadlines.  OK, a little worse.
They BOTCHED the release of Wraith from a PR/messaging standpoint.  TERRIBLE for the coin value.

Now for my opinion...

I don't know that this coin will get to $1 this year.  I think given a few months, if they learn from this and Wraith is adopted for transactions by vocal players, the coin will gain in value.  However, it will be slow and this is great dependency because there is now a loud contingent of naysayers.  Despite a working product, PR drives value of the coin (the demand) greatly.  They screwed up for the short term.  Let's hope that people forget and look at the product/future itself.

For the optimists, I think the XVG can reach $ 1 in 2018. Currently the XVG is dropping a lot, if you have the funds you can completely buy the XVG at this time to keep the year. 2018. Upcoming XVG has a lot of good information, so I think the XVG is going to increase strongly next month.

Its one dev who can get arrested by US authorities any time, be forced to put malicious code into Verge (he was in jail already so they can easily make him cooperate), and the only reason Verge is so high because of the McAfee PR. But this does not help Verge stay this high, or even gain in price, when there is privacy coins still low that have huge communities and not just 1 dev as Zoin, Linda, Colx..... Those are still low. Just look at the market cap. You dont get rich from buying Verge now which just gained x50.

Its the same story with any coin ever. Neo, Raiblocks... And those are actually real products but still they wont go x50 NOW. If you want x50, or just x8 you need to go in LOW MARKET CAP COINS that are still CHEAP. YOu dont get rich by buying expensive, or by buying tickets for the sinking titanic.

Dont get me wrong, I love verge. It made me a lot of money because I got in early. But now? Thats not a smart investment. You need to do your own research and find new trends, new coming projects if you want big gains.

Don't know if it will reach 1$ this year but anything is possible. A few months ago I posted on twitter that it will probably be between 0.10$ and 0.20$ and its already more then 0.10$ so who knows? But 0.50$ is more likely and from there it can go higher. I bought verge at 0.005 so I already made good profit from it and invested in some other coins but still have a nice amount of verge coins to hodl for long term.

It is difficult to predict the exact growth of coins, but I think that XVG can not grow to $ 1. Unless there will be a collapse of other stronger coins that will allow it to grow to such a mark.

Yes. XVG is growing strongly. A few months ago it cost only 100 sts. now is 1200 sts. I think not far from it will be $ 1. This is a great project. and very hot at the moment. Try to buy it when it's cheap
