Hi there,
Where is the best to store 10 different altcoins? On physical device or online?
Can I store on physical device let's say my own USB flash drive?
I can't say what is the best wallet to store your cryptocurrency right now but it seems that depends on the platform itself. Every wallet has different feature and that depends on your portfolio too. because not all wallet is supporting the various currency. You can use your USB flash drive to store your crypto but that's only like installed the offline wallet in your flash disk or just try to save your private key on there. That's right. It depends on the platform. If all your altcoins are erc20 based, then I can suggest you to use meyetherwallet with ledger nano s. Which literally means hardware and online web together to make it safe and user friendly.

I say both is good. Both wallet have their different security features and both also have their disadvantages. The wallets perhaps are needed situationally. And of course not all wallet holds your variety of coins. You can have both on certain coins. Some wallets holds up to 3 coins some only one. You just have to choose depending on the coins you what to store in a wallet.

hardware wallets store only certain coins, anyway. And in practice, most of mine are on exchanges rather than my Ledger, which I rarely use. Maybe foolish on my part!

My choices are: - Online wallet for tradings - Physical wallet for long term holding Also, not all hardware wallets are supporting all altcoins, not even in the top 100 list.

Even on a USB drive you can still get compromised, just get yourself a hardware wallet, I use ledger nano S and it is cool, Trezor is another option for you.But for now if you want you can use the USB drive for now till you get yourself a hardware wallet.

Currently we have many good physical and online wallets in my view if you can care then online wallets are good because physical wallets are not working with all coins and this is big issue for them so if you are going with many coins then try to use online and currently myeatherwallet is best for this all you need keep safe your private key

I think it depends on how much are the coins? If you have a lot, then it's better to buy a physical wallet like Ledger nano S. If you don't have too much, I think it's fine just saving them online.

i would suggest get a physical wallet. as long as you don’t forget your pass key your fine. it is yet the most secured wallet till date. online wallets are easily hacked especially if hacker can have access to your email. For online wallets i suggest you enable 2FA always for extra added security.

For me, this is a very urgent issue now. As you listen to stories, it becomes so scary. Now I'm thinking of buying a ladger nano s. The price has really grown, now it's 78 euro and you can store only 4 currencies ...

It’s never a good idea to store the coins somewhere online. If you follow the news there are hacks every single day. You don’t want to rely on the security from online walltes. Ever try to use local wallets. But there are enough topics about this.

Ledger nano s will be available for purchase only after March 20, you can buy now, but it will be delivered most likely in April. I already bought and do not consider for security 78 euro a very large amount.

Well, in my opinion both of this are useful and secure it just that some individual does not appreciate the one they are not using and only a few understands and appreciate both. Online money are for people who are investing alot in online work or activities while physical wallet are for individuals are for who does not. My point is every wallet are made for a specific field and only few are made for all.

If you can buy physical wallets are always safer. Online wallets have a lot of risk. I think you have a lot of savings, buy a physical wallet.

For me both wallets are good you just need to secure your wallet if you use online wallet have a password that is really not to easy to predict and important is the two factor verification should be enable. And also always check on the web url every time you make a login. Scammers/hackers will find a way just to find a victim, common way they will do is make a phishing site.

It depends. If you are a day trader, it's probably easier to keep your coins in the exchange, you use. If you are a holder and you trust your exchange you'd probably keep them there. The fact is that online wallets are vulnerable to hackers. It has happened before sometimes and people lost their money. So I think it's safer to keep them in your cold wallet, on an old PC you keep always offline or buy a hardware wallet.

You need to read more about cryptocurrency. There are hardwallets and online wallets. For online wallets you get your private keys. You can store your private keys either on paper or in your memory or on the pen drive. Hardwallets is a bit different thing. Check reviews of Ledger as an example

I prefer physical flash drives like the Ledger Nano S and Tresor. This is in any case more reliable and you feel safe.

If you understand the network security, then the home purse for you is the most reliable place. Unfortunately, as there are many protection classes, and hackers do not sleep and continue to engage in burglary and making a profit. The best solution is an offline wallet and send out the requested requests directly into the chain.
