I usually sell 20% after 50% gain (sometimes higher) and invest into riskier coin and do the same. I have a more long-term strategy. HODL strategy almost everytime pays out

im not sure if alot of people using strategy in trading most of them are just doing buy low sell high or do hodling which basically people wait 1 year or more to sell their coins. im not sure if alot people do strategies manually but i think alot of people use bot to do strategy instead of manually.

I invest in short term, I usually keep few days and sell in 10-20% profit. It's good strategy in my opinion.

I buy low and sell high. I do like to keep few from the top 20 and a couple from the newly listed altcurrenies. Im not a daily trader so I wait out until one goes up 30%+ before sale. It usually works especially if there is a pump with an 80%+ of an increse. If there is an upcoming announcement I wait that out first. Example CyberMiles claims to be to first mobile e-commerce platform to accept cryptocurrenies like BTC,ETH and CMT by the end of January 2018. At current stage it has a 38% price increase and my belief is gonna get a lot more due to speculation.

There is no fixed strategy in trading we need to make money,so act according to the current scenario of market. If you want more profits in trading just pick the coin with too much of price volatility and trade when the price bumped and buy when the price dumped. And try to make your own portfolio of altcoins according to your capital. The best time to see your coin is it made 20% of profit in my opinion.

Lots of trader or all trader are buying coin at lower value and sell when the price increasing to earn profit. But its up to you mate just set a percentage of gaining before you sell your coin and dont do too much hold if you do not have huge amount of capital that is not good. Me if i see my coin gaining 30% i sell 50% then find another coin to invest again.

I have many holdings that I just hold and a small portion of my portfolio that I trade.
While trading I will sell with 10% profit and use those profits to add to my stack of coins I plan to hold forever
Like Dash, xmr, OMG, EOS, ETH, waves those I wont sell at all. Even 10x I don't sell

I do not recommend short time trading unless you have a lot of experience in this field. I prefer long term hold. Almost does not matter what :-) Whole crypto market goes up.

Buy low and sell high. That's the very fundamentals of trading and I never take a loss. If I'm taking a loss then I won't cash out and wait for it to rise again. Of course alt coins are more risky but the main ones like Bitcoin and ETH it's actually a very good chance that they will rise again and make you a profit so it's worth the risk.

I used to trade within a day, but now I noticed that I have losses, because the market is extremely volatile. Therefore, I came to the conclusion that I would trade in the long term.

What is your strategy in trading? When you buy any alt coin how long do you hold and on what percentage you sell it?
When everyone is selling - buy, when everyone is buying - don't buy because it will crash. If you've bought it don't be greedy, sell on time. Don't buy coins because every single thread is about single coin, it is obviously pump. Don't sell coins just because someone is spreading fud. Percentage varies from trader to trader, what is good for one doesn't mean it will be good for others.

What i usuallly do is margin trading so i call it. I divide my alts into 3 portions. If i have like 20% profit i sell a portion of my alts. Then if it grows Upto 50% i sell the second, the last portion of it i hold. If the alts goes up so i most of the time sell the last portion of it. And also, for ats they usually go low after a big high. So when it goes down that's the time i buy again. I usually fo the same for all the alts that i own.

I think there is no sure-fire or concrete answer to this question. Since you operated on the term "strategy", it means that it could change depending on the landscape, movement and trend of the market you are following. I think most people would give their own workable percentage on which part to invest for bitcoin, major altcoins, and newer altcoins. That could work; however, you should also consider how much profit you would want to get plus the amount of investment you are willing to use. Another aspect to consider is the time frame you would want to invest, if it's short or long term. Those aspects would guide you on how you should play your trades.

I am not trading because when I was trading prices were always increasing when I sold and decreasing when I bought. If I trade now, I probably develop a special bot for this.

It's just a long-term or medium-term strategy, the main thing is to buy successfully when the news promises a strong coin growth
